Librarian and aspiring journalist Juliana Masters has a mystery to solve: Who am I? Armed with the truth about her past, she can leave her humdrum present behind and get on with her future. She just needs to complete one lucrative investigative writing assignment and she’ll be on her way. All she has to do is prove aliens live and work out of a secret facility based under the Big Bang Truck Stop. No problem. Getting her socks knocked off by the fearless leader isn’t part of the plan.

Diesel Grey worked for years to achieve his goal of heading up the family business in Alienn, Arkansas. Mission accomplished, but being fearless leader of a galactic way station comes with a lot more headaches than anticipated. It’s hard to consider the shockingly well-informed writer a headache, though, especially when she makes him ache in all the right places.

If he’s not careful, he’ll give her everything she needs to blow his family’s cover and expose to the human world that aliens do walk among them.

All he really wants to do is sweep her up in his arms and never let her go.

If only his trigger-happy brother would stop erasing her memories....

Likeable characters all around.
A good change of pace from my normal listens. And a quick listen with an overall feel good plot!

I LOVE BJ Harrison as a narrator, he always does the books he reads justice. I haven’t read You’ve Got Aliens before so this was new for me. And I loved it.

This story about Juliana, a graduate writer, and Diesel, the fearless leader, was fantastic. I giggled, I sighed and teared up as these two got to know each other and navigated the possibility of aliens.

We still get the vibe of Nocturne Falls where the town aliens are in plain sight but hiding from humans, and the town has themed shop names. However, being by a different author it's a whole new experience. I love a cozy read in a new world with some adventure and mystery, a little sweet romance, and animals making appearances like in NF. There weren't any animals in this, and there is a lot more kissing and talk & thoughts of doing much more, though it does go closed door from there. The INSTA-lust is much more prevalent, harder, and faster here. Little sappy, and I didn't like the female character until towards the end. She seemed a bit easy and totally upturned the MMC's entire life, and they act like teenagers at his place of work. But it gets better with more world building, a little mystery, some relationship strife & decisions, and interesting turn of events. There aren't a lot of differences to being aliens except for technology so far. The MMC's brothers were some comic relief, and I'm curious about their stories, but I'm just not sure I feel invested enough.

Diff from Nocturne Falls + Lots of Kissing

Was looking for more from totally professional B. J. Harrison, who I just love listening to, and in the mood for something light and this fit the bill exactly. Have put the next in the series on my wish list.

A fun romance read beautifully

I'll admit I was a little hesitant to listen to this because I wan't sure I could do a book with aliens. Then I realized that since I love vampires, ghosts, werewolves, etc, reading a book about an alien family wasn't really that big of a leap! I enjoyed it so much I immediately downloaded book 2.

Fun!
