This a great resource if you want a detailed plan for running your team! I love the section on emergency protocols and safety measures, which was lacking in other coaching books I have listened to. I also found the author's tone enjoyable and informative. It was a perfect balance. I will be listening to it again!

Very good guide

I think the author made some great points in this book. He spoke of planning for the season and practices. Then how to coach different sides of the ball. And how to approach game day. Great insight on how to connect with players and get the best from them.

Youth Football, by CR Edwards, is a step-by-step, practical guide on how to coach youth football. The author has a lot of experience with football because he played for 10 or 11 years. He covers it all. He goes over fundamentals, drills, dealing with parents, practice, preparation, game, plans, defensive, schemes, offensive plays, and player nutrition. There is no doubt that implementing these strategies into your coaching will make you a better coach and make your team better. Highly recommend it!

It goes beyond talking about positions, plays, and decision making, but safety, communication, emotional intelligence, and everything around molding youths into well rounded-human beings. Insightful guide for any coach or inspiring coach.

Wonderful Resource

This audiobook walks you through not only what standards and ideals to shoot for in your players, but what standards to shoot for in yourself as a coach as well. Youth football also has a higher standard for performance from coaches, given the danger involved with any contact sport, and this audiobook does a great job of ensuring you keep a high sense of integrity in your performance as a coach, and not putting players in an overly dangerous dynamic. Will be returning to this as a resource.
