Watching his crewmates fall in love has left York craving a female of his own. That’s how he ends up being matched to a Parri female through a service to find bond mates. He’s excited at the prospect when he arrives on planet Relon. Until he actually meets her.

Betrayed by her government in a bid for alien technology, poverty-stricken human Sara is doomed to be a prince’s sex toy, until she’s rescued on a planet that doesn’t take kindly to slavers. Suddenly free, she’s an outcast on her new home, treated with distrust...by everyone except a gorgeous, kind, huge blue alien. Too bad he’s getting married the next day. His future bond mate is a horrid, abusive woman, and Sara has a way to save them both - she’ll convince York to bond with her instead.

York

Yes Yes York! I love this story, I love how protective he is but not only that Sara is just as protective. I love the way they came to be.

Life for a human isn’t all that its cracked up to be in space. And Sara sees York and how he was being treated by a female that was to become his and she just couldn’t understand that kind of cruelty. So she seeks to change it and in the process, she is about to change her own life.

York is perfect for Sara but she is just as perfect for him. I love that the crew just accepted her with open arms just as they have everyone else mate. These stories are all so individual just connected. I can’t wait for the last book.

The narration is awesome again I love that each book is done in a new narrative but each narrator really brings these characters their own voices.

4.5 Stars Still Enjoying This Series

York is big blue with fangs and lonely. 2 of his best friends are life locked/mated and he is an alien who needs companionship, cuddling and love. A human, Sara, sold from earth to be a sex slave and rescued meets him. York is set to marry a woman his own race who is terrible to him, but he and Sara hit it off.
Sexy, sweet, action and can’t wait for more, with fantastic narration.

The narrator ruined the book

We met York in the previous 2 books as a happy-go-lucky character. He was sociable and likeable. The narrator (who also did the previous 2 books) all of the sudden changed his voice and cadence to the alien version of Eeyore. Initially I thought she just tried to show that he was depressed because he was lonely and unhappy. Unfortunately this was not the case. It is jarring to have a character's voice and personality change so much from one book to the next.

I won't be listening to this book again.

Very Alien Sexy Book

Great writing, with romance & adventure. Didn’t care for this one quiet as much, but still wouldn’t miss it. It didn’t seem to have as much hot sex, and the aliens are just too alien like many in Star Wars. At least York is mostly human looking.

narrator was hard to listen to at times

the narrator of cathian was amazing, but Samantha summers (who voices books 2-4) uses a Stuck up/ whiney voice for some of her female characters which is a total turn off.

Love listening

I love these short stories that show us the lives of the crew aboard the Vorge.
The narration is very good. I will continue listening to the rest of this series.
Sarah is taken by Earth's government and sold to an alien race in exchange for technology. It wasn't to get married like they were told. It was to become a sex worker.
Due to circumstances she met York on another planet. He was set to bond to another woman from his planet because he was lonely.

My Kind Blue Bond Mate

Rating: ❤❤❤❤
Heat Rating: 🔥🔥🔥
Narrator Performance: 🎧🎧🎧🎧

Another fun short novel from Dohner as well as another new alien species to learn about. I love that the crew of The Vorge is made up of different species. It's nice to have the change up with the different books in the series. This is such a diverse world that the author has created.

There was a little bit more going on with this story than the others in the series. It took place both on the ship and the planet Relon. I enjoyed Dohner's rounding out the story more. The info on Sara's past and current situation really helped develop the character. And while I already knew of York it was nice getting to know him better. He's such a nice guy. There is one thing that I found off however with the story. The chick that York was originally going to bond with said a lot of stuff about Parri (York's species) males that wasn't really addressed later in the story. I would have liked that to have been talked about more especially because one of the things was brought up in Dovis' book.

While I really enjoyed Summers' narration there were numerous slip ups/mispronounced words. Not too many but enough for me to take notice. Normally I would have given her at least a 4.5 for her performance. Her pace was excellent and she used different voices for the characters. That's important to me when I listen to a book.

Good for what it is

This was an enjoyable fun easy listen, and much better than other books in this genre.
