Very Smart Satire

"The CEO, Trevor, is right. Mustard goes with everything, yet we accept a version that is full of pesticides, sugar, and probably subprime mortgages. Their mustard is called The People's Mustard, because it supports (rather than oppresses) people, unlike most condiments. And my manager is cool! He runs the engineering team, and I'm the first female engineer. It's wild to make history so early in my career. Also, being an engineer at a mustard startup makes me inherently more interesting to others because no one knows what engineering work goes into mustard manufacturing, including me, and that makes me special."

Charming with biting satire, a terrifying reflection of the tech industry. A must listen for anyone with an interest in satire, the tech industry, or mustard.

Uh-maz-ing…or just valley girl uhm

Gives quickie satire. Skewers techies, millennials, and influencers. And men- this lady clearly holds a grudge. The valley girl speak is a little over the top. But, I give this two evil Elizabeth Banks snap-clap backs. Yaz, Queens!

Absurdly funny tech industry satire

Very well written and performed, absurd (and absurdly funny) satire on the foibles and pitfalls of the tech startup industry. The humor has a unique and fresh voice to it, and strikes a great balance of silliness and cutting social commentary. Highly recommended.

I dont know if this review is just for this episode

A whirlwind of laughing through the quick construction of the landscape depicted in the description, along with the strait forward hijacking of your reading minds opinions, propels you into a strongly developed portrayal of etymological inferences coupled to your quizitive search for how the essence could be expressed by which typography. The story preludes on some hints of the topic of mustard, but i cant go into detail about it.

Great satire

This is a silly but smart take on tech ethics or lack thereof. Also good sound design. Very fun listen.

I got an Audible account just for this book.

Good lord, some of the writing in here is painful, not for its quality, but for how true to the satirised subject it is.

Hogan has done a brilliant job skewering an industry that seems hellbent on reinventing the world, but worse. The characters are at once naive and self-serving, and it's a delight to come to dislike them over time.
