Publisher's Summary

Have you ever wanted to go back? I’ve contemplated it every day, for the last six years. Knowing that once I did, I’d wreck everything all over again, but still - I dream. Until last night. My past came back to me.

As I finished my set, looking through the smoke and flashing lights, I see him. The wreckage still written on Chord’s face tells me hell’s coming. I can’t erase the hurt my leaving caused, and I’ll be damned if I let him wreck us even more. But when I utter one word, I know we’re finished before we can even begin to pick up the pieces. Silas.

Loved The Story Performance Was Ok

#AudiobookObsession

I have listened to Sarah Puckett before and I absolutely love her performances and this one was no exception. Jarmen Day is a new narrator to me and it was just ok. Good enough to warrant a second chance. I have not listened to or even read Leaona Luxx's stories before but this one has converted me. She has gained a new reader/listener....

Prolonged story of love rent repeated by fate

I recently wrote a detailed and considerate review of this audiobook which the author graciously gifted me at my request. Audible found cause to obliterate my review without providing any reason. So the short version: if you are easily moved and swept up, you will need tissues. If you have a more jaded need for common sense, you won't.

Difficult Subject

While I felt this story started off strong, something fell away by mid book. I realize the subject matter regarding the tragic loss in the book is delicate to handle, I felt it was an attempt to save a sagging story and too much. The explanation around the first disappearance and six year gap didn't ring quite true to me. As I said, the story had me totally hooked at first and I was prepared to give it 5's across the board, but I was disappointed with how the story progressed and finally ended.

Quite emotional

Wrecking Us Saving You was in fact a bit too emotional for me. I couldn't help but been waiting for the impending doom to happen from the very start of the book. Perhaps that's why it felt a tad too heavy to consider this story as an entertainment.

Both Sarah Puckett and Jarman Day did a pretty good job here but out of the two of them I liked Sarah Puckett's narration better. Hands down.

Wow! Get the tissues ready

Great story with a lot of sad parts. I mean ugly cry parts. It's about lost loves and misunderstandings. It's the saddest book I've ever listened to. But atleast it has a happy ending. The narrators were very good. They were very emotional when needed.

An Emotional Journey...

WOW!!! This was my first book from Leaona Luxx and I was completely blown away. This story is a second chance love story that is just so much more. Chord and Sarah met as young children and forged a close friendship that would grow to be so much more...until the day Sarah leaves unexpectedly when they are teenagers, ultimately demolishing their plans for their happily ever after. Several years later they run into each other when neither expects it, bringing about a host of varied emotions from both people as they figure out what this means for the future.

This is a deeply touching and emotional story about family, and life and love and loss and second chances. I was truly inspired by the amount of love and support shown at every point throughout this book by Chord's family. I loved how invested Chord was in Sarah and her happiness and ensuring she felt loved and safe. This book requires some serious tissues so make sure you have them handy. I was invested and engaged in this story and these characters from the start and enjoyed every emotional moment of the journey. I cannot wait to read more from this author.

This was my first audiobook by Sarah Puckett and Jarman Day and I was highly impressed. For such an emotional book, they did an incredible job. I felt every emotion of the book through their words. I would love to listen to more of their work. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Emotional Story

This is the first book I've read by this author, and definitely will not be my last! If it were possible to give this book more than 5 stars I would, because it was absolutely wonderful. This book is told in dual POV’s by the two main characters Sarah and Chord. Chord and Sarah have known each other since kindergarten and are destined to be together. This book is one of loss, family, heartbreak, and love. It's a moving unforgettable story and I definitely recommend you read it for yourself, you won't regret it.

Leaona must have had tissues by her keyboard...

Yes, this definitely brought out the waterworks. And I was already stuffed from allergies so I was a mess coming back in to work from my lunch hour. Everything was believable EXCEPT Sarah’s reaction that started the long 6 year separation. If she was Chord’s BFF since kindergarten and knew the love was mutual, then why?????
But nonetheless, she did, and their rollercoaster lives took that first plunge. Six years later their lives were back on top looking at a new world together. Of course, then it fell to the bottom of that deep dark hill no one ever wants to live through. Many people don’t, and even more relationships fail. It’s a believable grief and loss and a struggle to resume life again. This book has it’s HEA, thank the good Lord. I don’t think I could have taken a sad ending.
Great narration.

EXCELLENT READ!

I absolutely loved it! This story was so emotional for me. The narration was superb and gives the story that extra flair! It will keep you entertained. The author did an excellent job with the character builds and plot. This was not my first book by this author, I read Luci's Lullaby and enjoyed that as well. I really love this author's writing style. I look forward to reading more of her books (can't wait)! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Heartbreakingly beautifully written

This is the first ever book I have read/listened to by Leaona Luxx. It is completely different to the usual genres I tend to read and I am so glad I took that leap as it is such a heartbreaking and beautifully written novel that is just full of raw emotion. The story is not rushed at all and just naturally flows. Not often will a book ever emotionally affect me . I havent got the words to describe it but I encourage people to listen to it and cast their own personal interpretations.i was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review
