Publisher's summary

"Another page turner - I couldn't put it down!" (Lori Foster, New York Times best-selling author)

The Monroe brothers found a home in Haven, Georgia, thanks to the big-hearted couple who adopted them all. Now, grieving their late sister, these three very different men will come together to honor her memory. And with the help of some unforgettable women, each will find the chance to build a whole new future....

Zach Monroe has made mistakes - big ones. The worst left the girl he loved injured, and his own brother barely speaking to him. It was a night Zach won't let himself forget, even when the girl in question - perfect, polished Sophie Allen - walks back into his life. A realtor, Sophie's brought an offer for their sister's dilapidated Civil War era property. But Zach's determined to renovate the rambling old place himself - though he longs to rebuild Sophie's trust in him....

A business deal isn't how Sophie wanted to approach Zach after all this time, but he won't let anyone get personal. She can't deny that the accident changed her life in irreparable ways. But watching gruff, quiet Zach beat himself up year after year hurts too. The wounded boy she once adored needed love, and the man is no different. Now, Sophie will need every bit of her resolve to convince Zach to let love heal them both....

"Captivating...sexy...emotional! Jules Bennett delivers another delicious read!" (Catherine Mann, USA Today best-selling author)

Too Much

Cute plot but INNER DIALOGUE WAS ON OVERLOAD, and I couldn’t take it by Chapter 8.

Wonderful Story

Julia I am so happy to finally read one of your books. God has blessed you with a true talent for words. I was glad to read a story without the crude language. We were all raised without the foul words. Thanx so much for writing such a beautiful story. I am looking forward to reading as many as I can. Sally

Surprisingly good listen...

I decided to purchase this book based on the Civil War-era house and the fact it was narrated by Erin Mallon, who's an excellent narrator. I was so surprised that this gem of a book hasn't be downloaded more times. The story is enticing, intriguing, and isn't like the mass-produced erotica books being published. Thanks to the author for not spelling out the sex scenes for me. Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to romance. Book was tastefully written and trusted me to use my own imagination in all way. I dislike being led in all directions by an author's words, I prefer an author who allows me to incorporate my own visions. I plan to let some time go by and read the other books in this series. Again, well done.

Trauma, Drama and Whining

I am not sure how old the Monroe brothers were supposed to be - guessing late 20s - but I felt like I was back in middle school. The BOYS had emotional baggage from abusive childhood experiences, which none of them even attempted to resolve, so the pain and loneliness was never ending.

While Zach was never physically violent to Sophie, he was a immature and thoughtless jerk. I just hate the I WAS AN ABUSED CHILD SO ITS OKAY IF I HURT OTHER PEOPLE excuse so popular in recent fiction. It was painful and not at all entertaining to listen while Sophie groveled for approval.

I may have enjoyed all the drama and trauma when I was a teen but now I just found it exhausting and depressing. Why don't women authors create more strong, feisty female characters rather than weak, pathetic wimps? The only enjoyable part of the story were the puppies...

Amazing.

I loved this book from the beginning all the way to the end. Sophie and Zack have loved each other for the past 10’years but a tragic accident separates them and Zack can’t forgive himself .
