Dead or alive?
Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually.
Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers.
Turns out, this Hell is being terrorized by an evil king, and he’s hell-bent on bringing all of Hell under his dominion. He also happens to control the portal back to our world, which I very much want to use.

Dark Story, Terrible Narrator
I received a free copy for an honest review, full disclosure.
Couldn't get past listening to what sounded very much like Yogi the Bear as the male narrator. I kept waiting for him to say "Hey BooBoo!" and start talking about pickanick baskets :) Seriously, he annoyed me so much, I couldn't get immersed in the story.
While there are parts of the story I liked, this "dark harem" as some other reviewers call it, is not my cup of tea. Your mileage may vary.
Overall, decent series, if you like the not so nice MCs in a not so nice world.

Perfect for binge listening
It’s nice that it’s all in one now because it’s nice to continually listen one book to the next and this is one fantastic story that’s worth the time to hear it

Great book!
I have listened to other book narrated by the male before, but for this series, he struck a cadence and tone that took some time to get used to. All in all, good tho.

A very good story but what a voice disaster for the male voices
This was a very good if not excellent story but the male protagonist voice made it a lot less enjoyable. The accent was making you cringe every time you heard his voice and announciation.

Two Fantasies Together
This was my first experience with Jack Porter's work, and my entertainment was split between the two different fantasies represented in the story. On the one hand, there was an entertaining dark fantasy complete with an evil king, various fantastic creatures, and exciting battles. Each successive book was better than the previous one as things built up to a thrilling conclusion. On the other hand, there was a sexual fantasy complete with in-depth descriptions that I found distracting and unnecessary woven throughout all the books. TJ McKenzie's and Melanie Hastings' narrations were great, and their performances added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

girl good, guy bad.
The female performance was really good but I don't understand why the guy was talking that way. as other people have said it's kind of distracting. also funny he starts off every chapter with the strong accent and then he's usually talking like a normal human by the end of the chapter and then the next chapter starts and you're back to the stupid voice. is that what he thinks New Jersey's sounds like? I mean they have a bad accent but not like what he was doing lol. The fact they were switching back and forth between male and female narrators was nice though even though he was annoying.
also I'm no prude or anything but the graphic porn scenes started getting a little old... luckily you can pretty much skip to the end of the chapter without missing any major plot or dialogue when they start.
