Publisher's Summary

Baseball player. Single dad. Hot mess. No woman has ever tamed him...until now.

Everyone knows Ryan Riggs - everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He's the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking-hot looks. He's also a single dad in need of a nanny - which makes him my new boss.

Simple.

Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago. We're trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I'm thinking about a repeat.

He's battling his demons, and I might be the only one who can help him win. He's impossible. He's unforgettable. He's unwinnable. Looks like I have my work cut out for me...

I’ve been waiting for this one

In book 3 of this series we get Ryan’s story. I’ve honestly been looking forward to this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The audible version was done nicely and having this story told in a dual POV was great. We get introduced to Kate and learn what makes Ryan tick. Now I’m looking forward to the next book! Definitely a book and a series I suggest to check out.

Great single dad story

Ryan Riggs is the baseball player of the Riggs brothers. When he meets his son's would-be nanny, Kate, they realize they have history. I thought these two were great together. I really enjoyed the scenes with Dylan (the son,) especially the ones where he was with Kate. I also enjoyed revisiting the other brothers and their lady loves. Great narration! I'm looking forward to the final Riggs brother, Dex--I'm most curious about his story.

Nice standalone romance

I liked this audiobook. It was enjoyable, fast-paced and kept my attention which I've noticed is sometimes hard to do with audiobooks. I was expecting this to be just like all the other sport romances I've read but I was kind of excited when it wasn't. Ryan is a pretty much a mess, but he's taken steps to be more responsible since becoming a single dad and Kate is kind of a mess too. Just going through life without a real idea of what she wants for her future and they work great together! There's passion and humor and even some emotional moments.

This was the first book I've read in this series. I'm interested in learning more about the previous Riggs brothers though.

My favorite so far!

Work Me Up is the third book in the Riggs Brother Series by Julie Kriss. I have to say this one is so far, my favorite. If you follow me, then you know single parent, especially single Dad, tropes are at the top of my favorites list. Add on top that Ryan Riggs is a number one alpha jerk, and all my boxes are checked! The story between Kate and Ryan is perfection, and it kept me captivated from beginning to end.
This book is narrated by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood, which is different than the first two books, and their narration was terrific. It was nice to have different voices from the first two books. I enjoyed them so much that I will be looking to see what other books they have narrated as well.

Enjoyable listen!

Kate and Ryan have a history no one knows about. She gets a chance to work with Ryan, but neither of them were expecting to see one another again. In the years since they first met, a lot has happened and Ryan had some growing up to do. I enjoyed this story, the chemistry between the characters and seeing what moving home was like for Ryan. The bad boy wasn't all that bad and I enjoyed his relationship with his son and his brothers. Ryan's priorities were changing and Kate was there for him and fit into their lives.

The Riggs men are everything!

Just like all the fellas, I’ve been waiting eagerly for Ryan’s story. I was curious about the Riggs that had gotten away, only to come back on his own and seemingly ok with it. I love that we get to check in on the previous brother’s and their women. It’s nice to see them progress and to see their happiness. Ryan seems a bit more jaded than the other brothers. I’m pretty sure that’s because he’s made it out and made some good money only to have it all ripped away from him!

The narration is fantastic and nothing but what I’d expect from Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. I felt they both portrayed the character they were playing pretty well… giving fun attitudes and personalities to their characters. I have to say Clark and Peachwood do sound very delightful together… she’s soft to his firm and hard.

Ryan Riggs is also fantastic...

I am totally sold on the Riggs boys and the amazing writing talent of Julie Kriss. She's given me back to back excellence with this series. This time it was Ryan Riggs and while he may have been dubbed the bad boy of baseball, he proved himself to be a really good guy at heart. His vulnerability was endearing. He had moments of cockiness but he still had baggage from his past and struggled with it. His relationship with his nanny Kate was great to experience. They had met previously, had a one night stand, and still decided to work together five years later. I enjoyed the way it was all done. It wasn't riddled with angst and torment about the past. I felt like they handled that part in a unique and mature way. Their present was where the real story was and it was still fantastic.

I loved the narrators for this story too. Both were different from the previous books in the series but still excellent. Savannah Peachwood I already knew I loved, but Jason Clarke is definitely one I'm gonna need more of. They both gave amazing performances and were a pleasure to listen to.

You need to meet the Riggs brothers!

Oh these Riggs Brothers. I just can't get enough of them!

I’m determined to listen to this series on audio so the wait while knowing they are readily available in ebook has been a killer! But totally worth it to listen to Jason Clarke say dirty things in my ear. :)

Now Work Me Up did not have as much drama and angst as the previous two books. And I’m ok with it because it wouldn’t have fit Ryan and Kate’s story. With that being said this is a continuation of the story from the previous books. We have different main characters but you’ll be a little lost if you don’t read the previous books, Drive Me Wild and Take Me Down first.

All 4 brothers have reconnected now that their dad is in jail and they’ve taken over his business. Ryan is a baseball player who can’t play baseball anymore and is also a single dad. I didn’t know where Julie Kriss planned to take his story now that he couldn’t play baseball anymore but I was pleasantly surprised. :)

Kate is a one-night stand he had 5 years ago and is now working for him as his nanny. The chemistry between the two characters was FIRE! It was such a delicious slow-burn!

Seriously. If you haven’t met these Riggs Brothers yet - you need to!

Great Single Dad Story and Second Chance to Love!

This is the third book in the Riggs Brothers Series, a Single Dad story and a Second Chance to Love. I haven't listened to the first books in the Series. I love Julie Kriss writing! Ryan and Kate's story is beautifully written, fun, and heartwarming. I loved it! Ryan is a handsome, and sexy single Dad. Kate is beautiful, loving and caring. They are great together. Dylan, Ryan's son, is so cute! Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke did a great job with the narration. I love their voices together! Looking forward for more book written by Julie Kriss.

Single dad yes please!

I received the Audio book in exchange for an honest review.

First up, I'm am so in love with this series. Every Riggs brother is so underestimated and I enjoy watching them find their well deserved happily ever after.

Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood were absolutely amazing to listen too. They're great narrator's but just so completely embodied these characters. Being a reader who doesn't listen to many audio books I for once can say it really makes you want to keep listening to more.

To the story, it follows Ryan Riggs, ex baseball player and player in general. Having had a child unexpected handed over to him, his life has changed a lot in the past four years.

With his schedule being so hectic especially with his baseball career going no where, he needs a hand taking care of his son. So he hired a nanny. Enter Kate.

Kate is so wonderful, she is strong and independent. She may not have a clear idea on what she wants her life to be but she still had a somewhat clear direction to follow. However when she sees that her new nanny job, is to take care of Ryan Riggs, a man she slept with five years ago and still can't get out of her head, things get a touch complicated.

The chemistry, the connection and the story as a whole was so perfect. There wasn't a dull moment. Espeically if you've read the other two books before it's exciting to see those characters again and see how they bleed into Ryan and Kate's lives.

It was such a fun read, keeps you hooked throughout and especially joined with the audio book it makes it a great reading experience!

I'm loving this series

OMG...I am so loving these Riggs brothers novels and Work Me Up, the third book in this series was no exception. This slow burn romance was Ryan and Kate's story and what a tale it was. These two had intense chemistry and I loved the development of their relationship throughout the story. I loved the inclusion of Ryan's brothers and the characters from the previous novels and I absolutely loved Ryan's son Dylan. This story was funny, sweet and sexy and included tropes of single dad, second chance and sports romance into one fabulous novel. This was a fantastic page turner I would highly recommend it to all lovers of single dad romance.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke. They were perfectly suited to these characters and they did an excellent job with the narration infusing the right amount of emotion where needed. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

#SingleDad

Audiobook review. Ryan and Kate made a cute couple. They had instant chemistry and a whole lotta passion to go with it the one night they met and had together. Ryan is a responsible single dad now though and as his priorities shifted, so did his way of thinking.

When reading the other brothers’ stories, I grew to be curious about Ryan. I wanted to know if there was more depth to him than being a baseball player, a hot guy, and a clueless father. Let me tell you, there definitely was!

Ryan was flawed and made mistakes along the way but he showed consistent growth. Kate too was flawed but she brought with her exactly what Ryan’s little family had been missing.

The plot was good. No real surprises but it was still entertaining. The writing was solid and the prose had a nice flow. The narrators, Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood, did an excellent job with their roles. Their tone, pitch, inflections, and transitions were smooth.

Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.

Ryan and Kate!

Ryan is a minor league baseball player who has been injured and it isn’t healing as quickly as he would like. Trying to balance the rehabilitation as well as looking after his son has become difficult so he decides to hire a nanny.

Kate isn’t sure what she wants to do with her life but when the opportunity to be the nanny for Ryan’s son comes up it will give her more time to decide what it is that she really wants to do. The only complication is that she and Ryan had a one night stand five years ago.

When Ryan can no longer postpone the end of his career he decides to return to Westlake and work with his brothers at their automobile repair shop and he wants Kate to come with him. Will they be able to keep their relationship strictly business or will this be their second chance?

I enjoyed both these characters. Ryan comes across as a self confident playboy but the truth is so much different while Kate isn’t sure why he would be interested in someone like her. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought that the narrators were a perfect choice for these characters.

Single dads are the best!

If you are looking for a family to get lost in, The Riggs Brothers is it. This is the third book in the series and they just keep getting better!!! I think every time I listen, I this one is my favorite, but honestly, this one is. Ryan is a minor league baseball player with an injury and a 7 year old! He needs help and hires Kate, the cousin of a friend and a conquest he slept with 5 years ago. Now the magic begins. There is nothing more appealing to me than a single dad, and Ryan is wonderful. He trips over himself as he tries to be the best dad he can, and it's so endearing. Kate is compassionate and loving. But that is not what I love about her. She sees past the good looks and fame that Ryan has, and finds the best in him. Plus we get to go back and see Emily & Luke and Jace & Tara, letting us feel like we are part of the family. Loved it and can't wait for book 4!

Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke are incredible as they bring this book to life. With this narration team, you can't expect anything but greatness and they truly bring it. Give this series a listen!

5 stars all the way!

I absolutely love the Riggs brothers! Each one is so different and their stories divergent, yet the bond is there and, of course, they are all gorgeous, tough and possessing hearts of gold 😍. Ryan and Kate's story is magic. It's funny, sweet, hot and a complete joy, both to read and to listen to. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are outstanding narrators. They bring the characters to wonderful life and I found myself completely immersed in their skillful reproduction of the book. It was great getting to know Ryan better and the brothers' banter is perfect. Kate is a delight. She is kind, funny and perfect for Ryan, and for Dylan. One of my favourite listens of this year! 💖💖💖💖💖

A sweet and sultry second chance romance!

Not my favorite so far in the series but still a solid read. I really liked the heroine Kate and found myself carving out a space in my heart for the hero Ryan. The story was okay, a second chance / single parent /sports romance with some seriously hot bedroom action. There just wasn’t much drama and suspense like there had been previously in the series. I missed that from the author. I felt the story wrapped up nicely and left me happy with the ending.

The narration of this audiobook was stellar! Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood really brought these characters to life and executed the emotion of the story flawlessly!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook provided by Wildfire Marketing Solutions.
