About this listen

In this wildly addictive novel, three overlooked women take on the charming, manipulative tech CEO who wrote them out of his startup’s history.

Anna Sarnoff is still reeling from her quickie divorce from tech wunderkind Jake Sarnoff. Forced out of the company that she helped Jake build, Anna is trying to pick up the pieces of her life, navigating the waters of solo parenting their two teenage boys and adapting to her new role of ex-wife. To make things more complicated, Jake seems to want her back…and his persuasiveness tempts her to say yes.

Across town, the brilliant and striking Samanta Flores-Walsh, Jake’s college girlfriend, is busy raising her teenage daughter and running her thriving yoga studio. Although their relationship ended years ago, unanswered questions from their time together gnaw at her, and when she learns that Jake is planning to take his billion-dollar company public, she starts to wonder if perhaps it isn’t too late for justice.

Finally, there’s Jake’s much younger new wife, Jessica, who’s struggling to stay afloat as a new mom while her high-profile husband grows increasingly distant.

Set in the wealthy enclaves of Seattle’s tech elite, the lives of these three women grow entangled as long-held secrets are forced to the surface, threatening to destroy their families. Written with razor-sharp intelligence and heart, Women Are the Fiercest Creatures is a searing look at the complexities of family and the obstacles women navigate in every aspect of their existence.

I loved this story. The characters, the storyline, all of it. I just felt like the ending could’ve had more written about it. It just ended abruptly for me when I think there could’ve been more to the ending. Overall, a great quick and easy read!

Great story, but ended too quickly

Story plot unfolded just as elegantly as the author stitched everything back together to the ending. Completely relatable characters, emotions and situations all throughout.

Covered a lot off relevant topics pertaining to women and their struggles with family, career and self, in an entertaining way!

Very entertaining story about 3 women and a man. I came across the author listening to a podcast. “You shouldn’t listen to me” She is a very talented young woman. I will follow her and listen more. The narrator was very good. She didn’t try to do male voices which I appreciated.

98% of this book was written about women who were repeatedly taken advantage of and manipulated. I kept wanting to read more about how these women became fierce!
The writing was good. I liked reading from the different points of view. The story kept me listening to the point where I couldn’t put it down, but the ending was rushed. It wrapped up in about 5 minutes and I wanted to hear more about the women becoming strong and saying enough is enough. It’s like these women willing went along with this self obsessed man and became the worst versions of themselves. I like this story and love to talk about it but don’t think the book lived up to the title.

The ending is too rushed!

The story started out strong, but I felt cheated at the end. The end could have been so much more empowering for the three women characters and it just fizzled and that was very disappointing. I felt the author just took the easy way out.

The title and beginning of the book gave me great hope. However, it turned trite at the end and definitely did not match the title.

I wanted it to be great! It did not meet the expectation.

The female characters with different experiences and connections. The multi-generational relationships. The outcome and prologue, Good narration.

Interesting story

Very thin plot, no real end - too many incomplete story lines to even count. I love an easy read but this one was a disappointment.
