Publisher's summary

Four renegade wolf shifters. An innocent young woman trapped in a web of lies. When their fates collide, sparks will fly....

Diagnosed with a rare terminal illness, I’ve spent over half my life in the Strand Corporation’s state-of-the-art treatment facility. I keep my chin up and do everything the doctors order, praying one day I’ll walk out of here in perfect health.

But when that day finally arrives, it’s nothing like I hoped it would be. Instead, it comes in a hail of gunfire, along with four distractingly handsome men who say they’re here to rescue me.

On the run with these mysterious men and hunted by the very people I believed were my caretakers, I begin to realize nothing is what I thought it was.

Turns out, I’m not really sick. I’m not completely human either....

Wolf Hunted is the first audiobook in The Last Shifter series, a slow-burn reverse harem story. If you love heroines with guts, hot alpha men, whychoose romance, and edge-of-your-seat action, dive into this thrilling new series today!

3.5 overall but still recommend

I think this is definitely a YA book...pretty full of hormones and not much character development.
I'm a little peeved at how the innocent and sheltered main character is from being raised in a medical compound, yet she's all about dropping the F bomb every minute like one of the guys. It's a little too fast for a character to change... especially since I didn't hear any of that while she was in the compound.
I still recommend it though, and I'm going to buy the second one because I have to with this dang cliffhanger. uuugh.

edit: audible doesn't have the rest of the series. 😑

Good book, audio needs edit

Chapters 15 & 16 are the same, so the production team should edit the recording

An Interesting Listen

This was an interesting listen. The storyline is well done and the characters are nicely developed. There's action, adventure, romance and shifting. The only problem I have is that this book ends on a major cliffhanger. As another reviewer pointed out, the author could have let the book end a bit earlier and then started the next book with the drama, that would have been much better. With that said, the story is good and worth your time. However, if you don't care for cliffhangers then you should wait until the next book is out before listening to this one. The narration by Laurel Schroeder is nicely done. She does give each character their own voice and emotions but i would have liked a bit more difference in the male voices. Also she seems to have a "crisp" edge to her voice from beginning to end and I think if she just relaxed a bit more while reading then it would have been better. Overall, I did enjoy listening to this book and I look forward to the next installment.

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Good story

I enjoyed the story until I realized that there would be a cliffhanger! They should warn readers and give them the choice of whether or not to get the book!!

Ends with a huge cliffhanger...

so if you are expecting that 'happy ever after' (HEA) the romance genre promises, look elsewhere. Even if a book is part of a series, each book should end with a small HEA. Ending a book in the middle of a scene where everything is going horribly wrong is just bad planning and writing. Could have ended it a couple scenes earlier where everything was hopeful and then used the last scene as opening drama.

Which is sad because I thought the book was fairly good. Yes, the main character was a bit whiny and too reflective on the past for my taste, but it was tolerable. I would have given the book at least 4 stars. However, dropping it down to one star shows how disappointed the ending left me.

nice RH story line, definitely worth the read

But by the end of the book the narrator's voice still had that crisp, monotonous edge to it, with every phrase ending in an lilt upward tone. To be honest her narration was too distracting for me and I'll finish the series in kindle. It was just that off-putting,

Wolf pack reverse harem- it was good, not amazing

Key words- wolf pack, reverse harem, hot alpha men, ignorant main female, latent shifter.

Plot- she thinks she has a rare illness, only to be broken out of the center by a wolf pack to find out she is also a wolf. But hasn’t shifter yet. They travel together to find another wolf pack.
That’s pretty much the whole story, the 4 of them traveling and getting to know each other.

I found myself continuing to listen just waiting for the goose bumps moment, but it never came. This whole book kinda felt like an introduction.

Maybe the next ones will be more exiting or engaging?

Female narrator- she was okay, her tone was not my favorite for the female character, but she did a pretty darn good job with the men.

Pretty good

this has sat in my wishlist for a while and finally decided to try it. I like this author and narrator from previous books and the concept is interesting. There were some things that bugged me such as the lack of character development and lack of description at parts that really could have used the extra details. It was hard for me to fall in love with the characters as none had any strong stand out characteristics to help get to know them.. also there are times you jump from one scene to another with no transition so it took me half we through the new scene to realize it was a new scene. All that being said it wasn't a bad book and did still keep me intrigued enough I'll buy the next one. I love this narrator but I know she is not everyone's cup of tea so make sure to listen to her before buying this.

also for Audible - chapter 16 repeats it's self. half way through the chapter it starts the scene again for the beginning of the chapter.

Slow-Burn Paranormal Reverse Harem

Wolf Hunted by Sadie Moss is a slow-burn paranormal reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Laurel Schroeder. This is the first book in The Last Shifter series.

This is the second series of Sadie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that’s building between Alexis, Noah, Rhys, Jackson, and West. The book does end on a cliffhanger. But that wasn’t much of a surprise since it’s the first book in a four book series. I can’t wait to dive into the next book Wolf Called so I can get more of their story.

Laurel did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances, slow-burn romances, or reverse harems.

This wolf audio will haunt you

This audio is book 1 in the series . It’s a Reverse Harem story . Sandi Moss wrote a story full of action , mystery , characters that are fated . But what a way for the Heroine Alexis to be saved .

Alexis Is locked away in a medical facility. The years go by , 1 yr becomes 2 until 10 years go by she thinks what she has is fatal , before 4 men walk in , the men are shifters , they were looking for Alexis . When they tell her why they saved her then she finds out who she really is

Laurel performance was great . Her voice is strong, clear and smooth . Laurel did all the characters perfect

Action Packed

The beginning started off nice and calm, and then chaos. There was so much action, everything on the edge of your seat including the end. This is a slow burn because even though there's four guys she doesn't go all the way with any..yet. The narrator did a fantastic job giving unique voices to everyone. Now I have to rush to find book 2!

Whew! What can I say about this book to do it justice! I love this book. Although it starts off a little slow, but oh don't stop reading it will knock your socks off. This book is exciting and keeps you on your toes. It makes you want to ask questions about your medical history. But remember to beware of wolf hunters in sheep clothing.

Great beginning, perfect narration

Another great book by Sadie Moss, I am becoming addicted to her books, I love PNR AND she really knows how to write a great story.

The book is well written, and kept my interest throughout it. It was pretty interesting seeing the journey Alexis has to go though, from being "sick" in a hospital her whole life, to be on the run and learning she might be a wolf shifter.

I liked all the guys and their interactions with Alexis, can't wait to know more about them and see how their relationship develops..

And... That cliffhanger... GOSH! I need the second book now!

The narration was perfect, Laurel Schroeder performance was really good, she had a great voice for each character and you can easily distinguish who's talking.

Full of Furry Romance & Suspense!

OMG I've just started a new addiction, the new Wolf Hunted series looks like its going to be just as amazing as all the others by Sadie Moss! I love the heroine, Alexis, she's vulnerable & lost in the big, wide world outside the Strand complex. Luckily her rescuers, three wolves her like her instantly, and one grumpy wolf who is trying not to like her, are guiding her through her new reality. I was so upset at Reece's behaviour towards her, and loved the way the others looked out for her. The book ends on a gut wrenching cliff hanger, and now I'm desperate for book 2!

Cliffhanger

I love this book. I love the characters. I love the story line, it had me captivated from the very beginning, I couldn’t stop listening. I enjoyed listening to her figuring out the how’s, what’s, and who’s of her life. The narration was great. I recommend this book, however there is a big fat cliffhanger at the end of this book.

Kept me griped from start to finish

Ends in a cliffhanger!! This story was moving the whole time. Sometimes on the run stories have time standing still and those moments seen to drag out but even the 'restful' moments here were moved though quickly (but definitely not glossed over).
A very interesting concept that's not often seen in shifter romances too - science! And not as a way of understanding but as a man made origin.
Not wholly sold on the romance, almost mate bond but not. I like where the characters are going though.
I could give or take the narrator. She's not bad but I wouldn't say she brings anything to the story either.
