This is a perfect novel !The begining ,the ending and as they say, the twist which left much to unfold in the imagination ! I have volunteered in the prisons teaching religious education. Every two years we are rear to tHe a TH test. As strange as it seems I never questioned why ! I just loved being with those residence especially when they particularly in retreats that have them great hope and insight for their lives . God bless all those involved in their dedicated work to bring about cures effecting the humanrace. !

Intriguing romantic tale with feeling

I love the way Elizabeth Camden unfolds a story and intertwines romance with some pieces of history, drama and mystery. It’s like reading several genres in one book! Wonderfully written and the narrated tone was on point with the characters and mood of the story.

Superb with every word. Another superb Elisabeth Camden book set to audible superbly. Brings to life the challenges of a remarkable couple.

Kate and Trevor have an unconventional, unexpected relationship.

This is my favorite book by Elizabeth Camden, and that is a high compliment. i have enjoyed many of her books. it took a long time before i would read it because I knew it was many years later than the setting of this book before Tuberculosis was actually treated successfully. But I decided to read it anyway, and I greatly enjoyed it. It's also important to be reminded of the sacrifices that many have made so we could have more effective treatments and even cures for our ailments.

Favorite So Far

This is my third book that I have listened to by Elizabeth Camden, and it is by far my favorite. I enjoy romance novels, but I do not like fluff or smut. This book develops believable characters that examine the human condition and educate people on a time long forgotten. I particularly enjoy that Ms. Camden does not shy away from the pain and suffering that we suffer in this world. She weaves stories that are authentic as they show how God can bring joy amidst the sorrows. I also appreciate the element of intrigue in this novel. I highly recommend this book.
