We are in touch, but we have lost touch. This is the impact of all the high-tech devices, e-mail, texting, social media, and endless hours we spend on the Internet these days.
To be a winner in business today you could use an extra dimension, an edge. With Winning Moves: Body Language for Business you can learn to present a new and enhanced super-you to people, prospects, customers, and leads. You can learn to spot and decode nonverbal signals, and handle indifference, skepticism, objections, or hostility. You can cultivate and refine your image management, self-confidence, aura, expressions, gestures, and posture. You can upgrade your public speaking, presentation, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
In Winning Moves: Body Language for Business you will find real world techniques that will improve your power to listen, to convince, win new clients, expand your sphere of influence, augment your attraction, and beef up your bottom line.
Winning Moves is primarily for people in business, with a focus on sales, presentation, and negotiation; but it can work as well for those in related disciplines: Law, politics, education, psychology, journalism, or any activity involving live interaction, or video or digital communication with people. Winning Moves nonverbal techniques and tactics can be your winning edge!

Some of the surprises, especially in a “business book.”: The author is a terrific writer, using metaphors and analogies to make his points more effectively, and memorably. He’s also very funny. The one watch out on this. At times he’s a bit politically incorrect (I.e. “especially if she has terrific legs”) which I guess is a risk one takes when trying to be funny (Chris Rock comes to mind here). It didn’t bother me personally, but as I said, it is a watch out.
The other surprise was the narration. The author narrates his own book and does a very good job. Frankly, when I first started listening, I thought the pace was way too slow. But then as I got into it, I began to appreciate the slower pace and the time it gave me to really think about the provocative content. I also appreciated that the author did such a good job of enunciating his words. I never had to go back — as I do with so many other audio books — and replay something because I couldn’t quite hear what was being said.
So net net, this is a real find for anyone interested in the subject of body language, especially as I said, for salespeople. The information is very “how-to”.... clearly born of real world experience, very practical and immediately applicable, And again, the wonderful writing, the stories the author tells, and the humorous way he tells them, make this book a valuable and fun listen.
