Publisher's summary

Many of us focus on winning at work. Whether it is from our own fear or the expectations of others, we put pressure on ourselves to succeed. Then, with whatever time and energy is left, we give to our family and to ourselves. In the end, no one wins. Marriages suffer, kids are neglected, teams are not developed, and you are not fulfilled. There is a better way. You, your home, and your work can thrive.

This audiobook will help you discover how to:

  • Craft a personal and family vision
  • Achieve work-rest balance
  • Have a close marriage of fun and intimacy
  • Build into your kids to set them up for success in life
  • Prioritize for even greater impact at work
  • Equip and empower your employees

Succeeding at work doesn’t mean you have to fail at home. You can do both. Find out how!

What a wonderful surprise!

I bought this book on a whim as I am connected to Corey through LinkedIn. I’ve always enjoyed his thought provoking posts and hoped his book was similar. But to be honest my expectations were not that high as this was Corey’s first book and he certainly doesn’t have the name recognition of my favorite thought leaders like Collins, Maxwell, Ramsey, Simet and Lencionni. After reading this book, I can say it belongs on the shelf with some of the best leadership and personal development books I’ve read to date. It was excellent. I’ll be buying copies to give to friends and colleagues. Here are my likes and dislikes:
1. Vulnerable/Honest- Corey was very open and honest with his insecurities, weaknesses and missteps. This made the lessons extremely relatable and applicable to my real life situations.
2. Practical- None of the concepts were drawn out and complex. They are simple steps to be taken to be sure your life is balanced with respect to faith, family and career.
3. Faith Forward-Corey is very open with his faith and how it grounds and centers his life. That being said Christians and non-Christians will benefit from the book.

Dislikes- none.

Powerful Insight. Helpful Wisdom.

I thoroughly enjoyed Win at Home First. Not only was the content Cory shared valuable, but I appreciated his viewpoint and stance. He approached the topic of winning—especially winning at home—from a biblical perspective, and he offered valuable insight.

As a husband and father, I was challenged to consider how I am doing at home. The book helped me think through how to live with and love my wife more. The parenting section stirred up many thoughts to consider as my wife and I start to raise our kids.

This is definitely a book I will come back to time and time again!
