Publisher's summary

He had awoken something in her the first night they met - a rebirth of hope for irrevocable love. A love so powerful that it canceled out the burden of her pain.

Dr. Alexandra Wilde is brilliant, driven, and wholly dedicated to her profession. Caring for critically ill children has taken her across the globe from Mongolia to Haiti to her current assignment in Gaborone, Botswana. Her life is full of excitement, tragedy, and personal sacrifice with little room for anything or anyone else.

She has always welcomed any adventure…except for the one wearing the face of billionaire mining heir and international playboy, Ian Devall. He is arrogant, charming, and utterly disenchanted. However, when circumstances thrust him into her life, she is captivated by a glimpse of his deeper character and drawn into a blazing romance. An ensuing path of self-discovery leads her to reopen the wounds of her past, and she must choose between the life she always imagined…or one she never dreamed was possible.

Romance, Adventure and so much more!

Dr. Alexandra Wilde is a woman with purpose, drive, and vision; and, who had suffered great tragedies and sacrificed much. Wilde is a world traveler who had traveled extensively caring for others with little time for her own needs or to face her own demons. Constantly busy until she came face to face with Ian Devall. Everything Wilde thought was her life was turned upside down when she met and fell in love with Devall. Devall is a charming, rich, and devastatingly handsome man who has more depth than one might believe. Drawn together, they explore possibilities.

The author, HK Jacobs brings together a love story that captures the imagination of the listener. Skilled at storytelling, Jacobs uses descriptions, emotions, and more to tell the love story of Wilde and Devall. The plot twists were exciting and at times devastating. Jacobs writes about the complexities of life and what one must endure because of their station in life or gender or …. Her listeners are taken on a ride of emotions and given vividly rich details that keep the listener engaged. The characters are three-dimensional and with great depth.

The narrator, Katie Hagaman provides distinct and unique voices for each character and keeps the story moving through her rich tone and inflection. Her performance was flawless and smooth.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook, it was clear and well produced.
