Publisher's summary

Millions of listeners have fallen in love with Ava's bestselling books...come join the family.

International bestselling author Ava Miles kicks off her new series with an irreverent hero, two well-intentioned matchmakers, and a heroine as beautiful as a wild Irish rose.

Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company.

Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for.

Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a famous ghost all intent on making sure he fails. Then there’s the woman herself. If she weren’t so indignant about his business offer, they might have a good romance budding.

Worst of all: his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara Hale show up from Dare Valley hoping to help him get hitched - not exactly the help he was looking for.

How in the world is he going to make this deal with his heart - and his dignity - staying intact?

Praise:

"Ava's story is witty and charming." (Barbara Freethy number one New York Times bestselling author on Nora Roberts Land)

"On par with Nicholas Sparks' love stories." (Jennifer's Corner Blog)

“The constant love, and the tasteful sexual interludes, bring a sensual, dynamic tension to this appealing story.” (Publisher’s Weekly)

"I am adding Ava Miles to my list of always reads like Susan Mallery, Jill Shalvis, Kristen Ashley, and Nora Roberts." (Marjay's Reading Blog)

"Miles' story savvy, sense of humor, respect for her listeners, and empathy for her characters shine through...." (USA Today on The Gate to Everything)

Laughed out loud more than once!

The story pulls the reader in immediately. The characters are genuinely believable. I cried, chuckled, LOL and fell in love. My first book by Ava Miles, but it will not be the last

nice genuinely compassionate around a gritty topic

to portray such a tough issue so compassionately and raise awareness of some of the issues faced by those struggling with it so well and to ensure the characters are fully engaged, well done and thank you.

Good Story but...

I liked the story. I wanted to love the story but the narrator kept getting in my way. One of the the things that makes a story told in Ireland more magical are the brogues. The lilt and music of the Irish voice is essential to me. This narrator not only sounds very young ~ almost child like ~ but had virtually no Irish brogue or lilt. That was a disappointment for me.

Extremely enjoyable!

I find that most times you have an understanding on how the ending is going to happen. I really like this book one of the series, because it kept giving you twists and turns. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

A sweet trip to Ireland

This story touched me deeply because I dealt with agoraphobia for 25 years. I felt every emotion that Becca felt and counted every step with her. I loved seeing the Merriams all together in the story. All in all, a very enjoyable listen.

I really enjoyed this book

This book is right up the romance path to a great and compelling series. I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series.

Em Eldridge tells the story in a way that really brings you inside the book. She reads as if she wasn’t reading words but relating reality.
