The closer she gets to Cain, his friends, his family and his lifestyle - the deeper she falls however she knows that their relationship isn't going to end well because of the earth shattering secrets that she's been holding back from him, secrets that will destroy everything..... and she wasn't wrong.

I didn't find this quite as enjoyable as book 1 - partly because I didn't like Sloan using Cain and his feelings towards her - but she did feel guilty and fess up in the end and she did pay dearly for all her deceptions. There was also a bit too much sex (gasp horror I know I know) but I felt it overshadowed the romance a little bit. However, it was still a very good, very hot erotic listen told from dual POV's by gifted narrators who bring to life each memorable character and all the wickedly wonderful scenes they oh so willingly participate in. A nice selection of secondary characters too.

Worth a credit? Yes, another sizzling addition to the talented SB's new sexy series where the men are hot, hungry and very very giving lovers.

Great Series

Wicked Lust, the second book of the The Wicked Horse series by Sawyer Bennett, was a love hate listen for me. I loved the characters, the romance, the heat. I just have such an issue with a relationship that progresses based on a lie. At least our female protagonist felt a ton of guilt over it, but it still makes me crazy.

That being said this story has a ton to offer. Cain Bonham, head of security and one of the fantasy makers at an exclusive ultra secretive sex club is a hot as sin sexy character that has so much more to offer than his body. He's smart, responsible, and really seems to like women. I feel like someone working in this field, along with his once bitten, twice shy past, could become very jaded and not like women so much, but not the case with Cain.

Sloane is likeable enough, but I still go back to the secrets that she's holding onto. Ms. Bennett does a great job at making the listener feel the guilt that Sloane has, so there's that. I am sure this is more of an issue for me than it will be for most listeners. This particular trope is always an issue for me. I just happen to enjoy this series and Ms. Bennett's writing enough to not want to skip this story. And I'm glad I didn't.

Bottom Line: If you are looking for a plot that will leave you squirming (in a good way) and a male protagonist that makes you sigh this story will fit the bill perfectly.

BLEW MY MIND!

Completely surpassed Every expectation I had. I expected this book to be another one of those sweet "western/down on the range" type books. Its NOTHING like that. Holy Hotness Batman!! This book is so scorching hot. This book was great on every level, if you are looking for a HOT book full of down and dirty sex, this is the one for you. If you're into a good story, well developed characters, great narration, this book is also for you. This book is so Amazing and I'm hooked for sure. Stop wasting your time reading reviews and get to listening! Worth a credit, you won't regret it.

Absurd Hypocricy

I can't decide who was the bigger hypocrite: security expert Cain who had sex with club members for money or reporter Sloan who had sex with Cain to get a story.

Cain was supposedly a decent, hard working man who adored his mother, sisters and nieces yet he enthusiastically participated in violent sex scenes where women (someone else's mother, sister, daughter, wife) were abused and exploited.

Evidently Cain held a grudge against all women because his dead wife cheated, left him with unpaid debts and had an abortion. I understood everything except the abortion, as if Cain would have been a fit parent, especially to a baby girl.

Sloan's character made no sense, consenting to being restrained and screwed by multiple men she barely knew. Considering that her family had been devastated by sex scandals, Sloan was still willing to expose the sexual behaviors of another families.

Since I didn't care what happened to anyone in Wicked Lust, my mind wandered often. No romance, no humor, no true friendships, just lots of cold, emotionless sex scenes.

Great listen

I enjoyed the story line it was entertaining and erotic I have enjoyed the series so far and will continue

Not as expected

Based on reviews I got all the books in this series. Unfortunately for me I was not so impressed with this series. It did not grab me as I expected it to do. To me it's just an average series. I wish I'd used my credits on other more stimulating books.

HOT, STEAMING, AND SEXY SERIES

Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite authors. She has created a very hot series but it's not just sex. She's created broken, loving and enduring characters. Some work at the Wicked Horse/Silo and others are customers and members.

These stories have lot's of BDSM, mystery and suspense. The stories move along at a nice pace and not a lot inner dialogue which gets irritating.

The story I want to hear the most is Bridger's but I'm sure Sawyer is saving his story for the last one.

Absolutely worth a credit. I have Wicked Fall and Wicked Lust and am now listening to Wicked Need.

Get this series...You will NOT be dissapointed.

Slam me again & again!

Love SB's writing! I am always glad to see Lee Samuels narrate her books. He does a great job. As most erotic books, this story is exaggerated with instalove but always worth my read and credit. With SB books, you're guaranteed A LOT of varied HOT sex scenes. Looking forward to book 3 in this series.

hot and oh so sexy

The sex is very graphic and the characters are normal people not billionaires. Easier to relate to.

Narration and Story

This narration team is always awesome! it's one of the reasons I listened to this series... I hoped that Bridger's story was next but I guess Rand then Logan and then Bridger! please don't make me wait a year!
Sloan irritated me for 85% of the book but I love how the author worked everything out...
My fave S.B book will forever be Uncivilized though... I wish that was a series!

Holy Moly! If you were uncomfortable with the sex scenes in Wicked Fall you sure as hell will be uncomfortable reading Wicked Lust. It's hot hot hot, and oh so dirty. Just like Wicked Fall, I fell in love with the leading characters! This time it was Cain and Sloane. Cain is head of security at Wicked Fall and Sloane is an undercover reporter. The start of their relationship is based on sex and lies, both of them. I loved seeing their relationship grow in to more, but I've got to say I was waiting in anticipation for the train wreck I knew was coming. And yes, it came, just as I knew it would, and I found myself sobbing, I was heartbroken. Could they find it in themselves to forgive, forget and fall in love? You'll have to wait and see. Love all the characters, loved the story, loved revisiting Woolf and Callie, so desperate to read Bridger's story (which had better be in the making), but meanwhile I'm looking forward to Rand and Catherine's story.
