Publisher's Summary

Leonard Ravenhill's call to revival is as timely now as it was when it was published over 50 years ago. The message is fearless and often radical as he expounds on the disparity between the New Testament church and the church today. Why Revival Tarries contains the heart of his message. AW Tozer called Ravenhill "a man sent from God" who "appeared at [a] critical moment in history", just as the Old Testament prophets did. Included are questions for group and individual study. Ravi Zacharias refers to this as "the book that shaped me...more dramatically than any other".

Great book, terrible narrator.

Really good book but the narrator decided he needed to put emotion into a book that just needed to be read. It was very difficult to listen to.

For everyone praying for revival!

The narrator did a great job bringing the inimitable Leonard Ravenhill to life. The Biblical reasons why God is tarrying when so many people are praying for revival are clear and compelling. I highly recommend it!

Why Revival is needed

Ravenhill is a harsh old-time prophet that was ahead of his time. This book was written almost 60 years ago. Now, taking a fresh look at it, it was written for today's church. We desperately need revival! Our churches need revival! May the Spirit of God move on us and awaken us! This is the only way to fight the powers of darkness.

Worst narration ever.

The book is incredible, but William Crockett reads it like a high school drama dropout. He butchers the ability to truly engage in the story and feel Ravenhill's emotional and spiritual investment in this book. I highly recommend this book but not this version.

Most challenging book on prayer

Ravenhill consistently belittles ministers who don’t pray and who play games spiritually speaking. This he rightfully does to show that real believers and ministers need to do more than be professionals at their job but rather need to see it as a calling. This book is a call to prayer for all believers everywhere.
