This is Jack London's companion piece to The Call of the Wild and is the story of the life of a dog who is mostly wolf. Set in the Canadian wilderness during the Gold Rush, the tale opens with his birth in the wild and subsequent deliverance to a Mackenzie Indian named Grey Beaver. For anyone who loves animals

This is an engrossing often brutal story. You are never bored and time just flys by. White Fang was a childhood favorite and 70 yeas later I find it just as awe inspiring . Ps don't dispare the ending is happy and satisfying.

FANTASTIC !

Wonderful animal story from over a century ago. Best and worst of people and their inactions with animals. Chicken story sequence is absolutely terrific. Wonderful ending in all its realms!

Great story!

My first Jack London book but definitely not my last! Its almost like London was a dog in another life.

Classic adventure

Would you listen to White Fang again? Why?

I would listed to White Fang again. It could be described as episodic, but I think the action propels the story. The action can be really heart-stopping at times. I was moved to tears toward the end of the book, more due to my own dread and anxiety than from the plot itself.

What other book might you compare White Fang to and why?

The obvious comparisons are London's other nature stories, particularly White Fang's companion piece, The Call of the Wild.

A classic

A classic story with decent narration. Great listen for the whole family. The boys loved it. This is our second time through this story in the last few years.

Very good book!

I appreciate the way London presents the taming of the wild dog, and the animal's acclamation to living with man.

A True Classic

A story for all ages. Masterful storytelling and a narrator delivering in the manner, I imagine, Jack London intended.
