I read this book a year or so ago. And I rated it very emotionally. At the time something similar happened to someone I knew. Although I still feel similar to the fact of Lizzie and Brian being together so soon after Lyle passes. I understand more now why they were able to do so. The love Lizzie has/had for Brian has always been bigger than life. And when she met Lyle she made space to love him too. And not in a way that made Lyle second place. In a way that made Lyle just as valued and important. Both men loved her so deeply and completely she didn’t know how to show them the same love and respect without feeling she was hurting the other.

It’s a beautifully written story about second chances, trauma, mending, mental health and raising babies.
