The hottest man I’ve ever seen is now my new boss.
And I’m stuck in a house with him…
Until one of us cracks.

I’ve got debt—yeah, I know, so does everyone else on Planet Earth.
But the bills I’m paying keep my dad and my grandma alive.
So it’s pretty messed-up for Timofey Viktorov to use them as a threat to keep me under control.

Not that he cares.
As a billionaire CEO, he takes no prisoners in the boardroom.
And as the don of the Viktorov Bratva, he takes no prisoners in real life, either.

Which is why he has no qualms about extorting me into taking his deal.
Live in my mansion…
Care for my baby…
Or suffer the consequences.

But he’s not the only one with an agenda.
Timofey has skeletons in his closet—and I’m determined to dig them out.
He’s just as determined to keep me far away from the secrets of his past.

The longer I’m in his house, the tenser things get.
Every time we brush past each other in the hallway, something sparks.
Every time we cross paths in the night, the ice grows thinner.

Sooner or later, it’s going to crack.

WHISKEY POISON is Book 1 of the Viktorov Bratva Duet. The story concludes in Book 2, WHISKEY PAIN.

I’m not sure I can go on in the series. It’s a ridiculous roller coaster. Piper is definitely annoying, but Timofy is not believable with his feelings towards Piper. His animosity towards her just flips off like a switch and he’s all of a sudden in love with her. Meanwhile she obviously has feelings for him but she goes back and forth between wanting to escape and take Benjamin. It’s crazy! I don’t find her whiny, but she jumps yo conclusions that have no basis in the reality of the given situation.

I’m just not sure I can go on to book 2. 15 hours of this nonsense was a lot. m I curious enough to plod through more just to find out what happens next? Idk. I’m going to have to take a break and maybe come back later. 3/5 stars but only because the narration is excellent.

I just don’t know

Normally, with Nicole’s books it starts off with oh snap, this was long and drawn out, however it did pick up in the middle. And ended with oh my gosh.

Nicole Fox had being one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed this book but Piper was a little annoying at times. I hope she grows a back cone in the second book.

I struggled to finish the story, because her voice was totally whiny. She made me want to throat punch her. I'm not even sure I can listen to part 2.

Her voice like nails on a chalkboard!
