Heartfelt

Just like the previous books in this series this didn't disappoint, Loved how A!lex and Lena were able to heal each other, from their dark past abuse... Beautiful

Strong series

It’s difficult to pick a favorite book of what I’ve so far read. I just finished book 6. Loved Alex’s and Lena’s story of love and healing. I really enjoy how the strong brothers and friends love and support one another and their strong and meddling wives. So far the series is a must read. On to book 7!

Ready for the next book.

Loved the continued family story line with a touch of datk intrigue. Glad to see Lena strong again.

The best book in the Series!

Alex MacLean has been in every book in this series. His story doesn’t disappoint.

As with most books, I always attempt to discover the plot prior to finishing reading. This one didn’t happen in the way I had expected, but I was pleased that it didn’t.

Lena, the sister of the MacLeod brothers, knew Alex as a child. They had both claimed they would marry one another. Circumstances prevented that and Lena was forced to wed an enemy of her Clan. Her husband was unbelievably cruel and she suffered horrible abuse.

When she was returned to her family, both she and Alex are drawn to one another. Alex harbours a dark secret that he fears will make her hate him. He too was abused by an evil man.

Forced into marriage by the King, Alex and Lena must overcome their fears of intimacy. Lena must learn to accept being touched and Alex must learn to touch and love gently rather than bind a woman into submission where he has complete control in the bedchamber.

I really hope Thomas Fraser has a book to tell his tale as he, of the two, suffered the most under Gillis Stewart as an apprentice.

The audiobook is phenomenal! Timothy Campbell is an excellent narrator.

Handsome highlanders

Julie has done it again, this whole series has been amazing. It has everything beautiful wild countryside, brave highland warriors set to defend their equally brave lassies. Wether you are new to the genre or looking for something different this series will captivate you. This story brings together the tortured souls of Lena & Alex whose scared lives draw them together. By sharing their pasts they are able to banish their demons. I can not recommend this book enough. Though if you need more then listening to it being narrated by the wonderful Tim Campbell will definitely warm your heart. He is by far the best narrator around, his voice transports you to the highlands of Scotland, you feel the story through his voice. As a Scot myself I can tell you his accents are first class.

Well read, excellent story!

Story grabs you & runs! Full of excitement, adventure & intrigue. Loved experiencing this challenging love story. A story to listen to repeatedly. Campbell is an excellent narrator!

Enjoying this se irs

This is one of my favorites in this series. These are a bit of an easy guilty read for me but I do enjoy the books.

great story

This one like book 2 had dark elements. It like book 2 had parts that where hard to listen too as I pictured myself there in the characters shoes. However, the love and strength that Alex and Lena had and shared to overcome their individual pain also makes this story truly romantic and hopeful.

Lena and Alex's Story 4.5 stars

Another good installment. Lena's first marriage was awful, now her life will change and Alex's had a terrible life when he was younger that still affected him as a man. . Once again from the very beginning the story holds your attention. The chemistry between Lena and Alex and the support they give each other is endearing. You will enjoy this story.

A truly wonderful love story by Julie Johnstone! This one will make you sigh at the romance. Tim Campbell gets 5 Stars as always, for his amazing narration. 💗
