Publisher's Summary

From the best-selling author of Good Girl, Bad Girl and When You Are Mine comes a gripping thriller featuring the brilliant forensic psychologist Cyrus Haven as he becomes embroiled in an explosive murder case with disturbing origins.

Criminal psychologist Cyrus Haven and Evie Cormac return in this “powerhouse of a novel” (Booklist, starred review) from internationally best-selling author Michael Robotham, a writer Stephen King calls “an absolute master...with heart and soul.”

Who is Evie, the girl with no past, running from? She was discovered hiding in a secret room in the aftermath of a terrible crime. Her ability to tell when someone is lying helped Cyrus crack an impenetrable case in Good Girl, Bad Girl. Now, the closer Cyrus gets to uncovering answers about Evie’s dark history, the more he exposes Evie to danger, giving her no choice but to run. Ultimately, both will have to decide if some secrets are better left buried and some monsters should never be named....

Wonderful!!!

Excellent second entry in Robotham’s newest series, featuring a young psychologist and his damaged -what?- friend/patient/ward, a street smart much-abused teen whose superpower is knowing a lie when she hears it. LOVE It. Robotham fans will not be disappointed!!!

This is the 15th Robotham in my library

He always delivers crime and mystery presented with descriptions that draw in the reader. British narration often relaxes me, softens hearing horror, so I get deliciously gruesome narrative that evokes strong emotions without getting too worked up. Love this set of characters and look forward to what they will do in the next book. Evie has the flawed brilliance of a Lisbeth Salander (Dragon Tattoo).

So, so, so good!!!

The Secrets She Keeps was the first Michael Robotham novel I ever read. Cyrus was briefly mentioned and I've been fascinated with him ever since. After reading Good Girl, Bad Girl, I couldn't wait to learn more about Evie. This book was so worth waiting for.

Hate to see the story end...

I love the characters that I finish the books so quickly and am so sad when the story ends. Robotham never disappoints.

Excellent book

I first discovered this author at an English bookstore in Nice France. While traveling over the years I have purchased his books in Hong Kong, Dubrovnik and other international visits. He has not let me down. The trend continues.
