Humbling and cute

This was such a cute story. These characters are both very humbling and kind. I only gave it 4 stars because I enjoy more steam but this was still a very realistic story. It’s a clean romance so if you’re looking for dirty scenes this isn’t your kind of book. But like I said, it is still a very cute story and I loved how all the characters had one another’s back.

Wonderful Story! I Love These Characters!

I adore the Appies hockey series! And When Alec Met Evie was a beautifully deep and emotional story that still had many lighthearted moments, as well.

I loved the way these two connected. The age gap and the fact that Evie was actually Alec’s little sister’s best friend set them up for potential distance between them, yet they both were truly drawn to each other, too. And Alec was so thoughtful and caring for both Evie and her baby. I loved how close these two became and how it was clear to Alec’s teammates that his feelings for her her more than anything he’d experienced before.

This story made me so happy to listen to. The author did a great job of layering the difficult and sometimes painful decisions that had to be made with uplifting moments that touched my heart. The narrators did a great job of bringing these characters to life, too.

I am not usually a lover of age gap…. But this one had me at Nerd! I loved this book! I enjoyed the whole story and the narrators were awesome!

Love this series!

It is fun to see new creative problems, and I love how the hockey club guys and support staff are one big family!

IIt is definitely a tear jerker though.

Great voice changes

The changes in voices for the different characters were effective and fun. I could also feel the characters’ emotions through the narrator’s voices.

A romance that isn't too graphic

I liked the narration, I liked that I could tell where there was a man or a female speaking in the book, I liked that I didn't have to listen to graphic sexual descriptions.
