VERY GOOD CONTINUATION

Interesting storyline. The plot is filled with lots of action, intrigues and magic. Vincent Whelan, the half Fae/half human and his friends had to go to the other wield to help humans being kidnapped and killed. Well written and well performed by Pavi Proczko. I hope book 3 will come out soon. Worth the credit.

thoroughly hooked

A great story and continuation of the previous book. The main character is slowing learning how to live with part of his nature that has been locked up all his life, all while being used by the part of his family that he would like nothing to do with. He also learns that past trauma has cut him off from those he loves and realises what he has lost.

Even better

What Man Defies is book 2 in TheFrost Arcana series and picks up with the same backstory but with a new mystery/plot. Vince and team are back as they work to save people. Plenty of action right from the start. Some new characters are introduced along with some interesting developments. Good world building and strong characters. This book can be enjoyed without having finished book 1, but I recommend completing in the series order so that you have the history. The narrator did a good job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Whelan must save the world again!

Vincent Whelan has been forced recruited to save the world… again. The story picks up a month after book one. Abarta is again plotting to return the Tuatha De Danann to the prominence they once held. This time a personal friend of Whelan’s has gotten pulled into the machinations of Abarta.

It is a team of four human police, three with no experience fighting paranormals, one witch, and Whelan who go off to faerie to save missing humans and (cross your fingers) kill Abarta’s henchman, a banshee. The team shows bravery in the face of unknown adversaries. But all the preparation in the world does not prevent the team from being injured. As usual, Whelan is left alone for the big fight. Unfortunately, Agatha Bismarck, the human mob boss from book one, is alive and kicks Whelan’s ass.

The fight scenes are filled with magic and the witch, Odette, is a bad-ass fighter. This is a enjoyable series.
