Entertaining

Good story. Kept me entertained, felt a little forced at times performance wise but all in all was a good listen.

A must read!

Stunning descriptions of life's trials and their surprising resolutions. Revelatory, redeeming, and rewarding. Dealing with a parent's greatest fears: the loss of a child, loss of hope, and the relief understanding the circumstances brings.

Beautiful story well told and well written.

I enjoyed this book so much. It was touching, and the characters just came alive with great depth and such varied personalities. The author demonstrated that she has much wisdom about human nature and the human psyche. All of the many threads were woven expertly to create a magical tapestry of wonder by the end of this wonderful book.

Enjoyable read

I picked this book by chance, there was a special. It is the type of book I enjoy. The characters were believable, likeable, just an overall good read

Great book!

This book took hold of me and took me on a ride. Bringing up emotions and not letting me go until I finished. Great experience! I loved it!

So - so

The story was not uninteresting, but the reading was jarring. When voicing a child’s voice it sounded like both an SNL parody skit and a computerized anime character.

Did not disappoint....

I did really like the story. It wasn't earth shattering or anything, and I figured out who the killer was halfway through, but it didn't ruin the story. I didn't like the killer anyway, so it wasn't a far stretch to guess who it was. It does give some food for thought on what happens to us after we are done with our bag of bones though. Narrator was good and didn't mess up between the voices of children, men and women (except for Lola ... her pitch drove me to madness (ugh!)).

Loved this book! Not a preaching book, not a religious doctrine, just a very good mystery with a lot of depth! This is worth the listen! The narrator is wonderful, the story is engrossing and it expresses “open” ideas. You choose what you believe…

Amazing Story

This is ihe first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed the and how the two time lines came together. The story and the characters were well developed. I look forward to reading more books by this author. also the narration was excellent.
