The best of Charles Martin

I chose this book because Charles Martin is my all time favorite author. His books are always thoughtful, deep and soul searching. I also am a person of faith and it hasn’t always been easy. I think that is one thing Charles Martin wants us to know. A faith that is real will cause you to put every area of your life under the microscope of truth. Whether you are new to the faith or you’ve been on a life long journey of faith, this book will challenge you to let the Spirit of God do His good work in you. Through your circumstances, diagnosis’, relationships, temptations and pain, God wants to use it all to reveal a new aspect of Himself to you. He wants to use the good stuff too, but somehow we (I) just do not search for Him as much when things are going good. Charles Martin leads us on a journey of evaluating ourselves in the light of the Word by the power of the Spirit. If you allow it, the journey through this book will change you, for God’s glory and your good.

Questions for my soul

This was a lark to purchase - I knew nothing about Charles Martin (Sorry).
- but saw this in a book store and the title drew me. I am a follower of Christ yet find it difficult to share with my skeptical family and newly believing husband. Asking my husband to read one of my book suggestions as our ‘Personal Book Club’ was possibly going to end up another unattempted effort to engage and deepen his & our journey with Christ. But this time - after a quick sample listen - he was off and running... he finished and felt a tug and a pull towards Jesus more so than he had ever felt before. I felt it too. Thank you for helping us both to shed sone more layers of scales off our heart eyes💗

I’ve listened and will listen again. Plus I bought the book for myself to go more In depth and a copy to pass on to a friend. “If it’s true” solidifies the Bible even more for me and challenges who I am in Christ and my responsibility as a Jesus follower. I loved hearing Charles Martin’s heart and want everyone I know to hear it and read it.

Could not put this book down

Food for the soul❤️. If you want a blessing, READ THIS BOOK. I love this author. As a matter of fact, I have read most of his books. Some are fiction (fantastic fiction), but this is the 1st non-fiction I have read. I have given his books as gifts to friends and family. Highly recommend.
