This book is one of the most important parenting & discipleship I've read. Voddie Baucham's biblical perspective challenges parents to rethink how they're shepherding their sons and daughters instead of following the cultural norms.

Biblical Manhood Clearly Taught!

This book is an exceptional work explaining biblical manhood, I was both highly encouraged, and thoroughly convicted to the high calling of manhood, to live as Christ, Dr. Baucham does an excellent job explaining biblical manhood!

I am convicted

This book is a literal conviction for my heart. Voddie may not be a perfect man, but he writes in a way that makes one not only think twice about their way of understanding the Scripture (s), he also writes in a shepherding manner. He lays out truth in a way that made me clearly understand the sin in my life and how inadequate I am. I am also glad that he makes it clear what “I must be” so that I might walk away knowing where I got it wrong.

I wish to listen to this again and not get used to the truths outlined in the book, but get a deeper understanding so that I can articulate this to other men.

I hope many people will read this book and apply it. Should be required reading for teenage boys and girls... and their parents.

Every Father and everyone who wishes to get married should read this book. Guys should read to learn what kind of man every woman deserves. And gals should read to learn what kind of man look for. We need more dads discipling their children in this way!

A “Men Must Read”

I wish all men would read this one in their younger years . Sent it to a few in my life!

Every Man must listen or read

I state this review more in a sense of every man must be intentional in how they pursue a marriage in the same way Jesus was intentional in pursuing us. This is not so much a review of the text of this book but an underlying call to raise good Christian men who love the Lord Jesus and are prepared to lead like Christ, love like Christ, and in so doing be like Christ. This book has left me contemplating those things I should be if I want to lead this life. If you call yourself a Christian, marriage should be taken extremely serious and as a college student wanting to pursue this I know that I have a long road ahead of me, but I know from this book that if I am going to be deeply invested in my future wife I must first know how to be deeply invested in Jesus. Otherwise it’s all futile.
