Publisher's summary

Silver Coyle thought she was doing the right thing - see something, say something. Now she finds herself kidnapped, chained to a pipe in the hull of a ship, and on a collision course with death. Her only chance of rescue is from the one man she never wants to see again - Weston Beil - the know-it-all former SEAL. He’s bossy, arrogant, and sexy all wrapped up in a tough-guy package. Untouchable. But that doesn’t stop the man from sending shivers of excitement racing down her spine.

Weston Beil didn’t want to be right, he didn’t want to say I told you so, but there it was - the beautiful Silver was caught in the middle of a drug war just like he’d warned. The woman was headstrong and stubborn. She tested his limits, pushed his buttons, and set his body on fire. Weston had a plan, he was prepared to use everything in his arsenal to prove to Silver she was his. Only there’s a glitch in Weston’s plan - Silver might not stay alive long enough for him to claim his treasure and convince her he’s fallen in love.

I Could Not Stand Silver!!!

I wish this book had focused more on the drug smugglers, how it was figured out, or anything other than Silver. I have always liked Weston, but I could not abide Silver.

Silver was the most irritating, argumentative, combative person I have had to listen to in a very long time. It was a struggle to finish. There was nothing about Silver other than her name that I liked.

I had great admiration for Weston and his ability to put up with Silver. I couldn't imagine how Weston could put up with her. I tried to take into account her childhood, but that was not enough to make her character palatable. Weston and Silver did seem to have a ton of steamy scenes, so maybe that was the basis of their relationship.

Silver was in serious need of counseling. Her behavior was so awful that I felt her character took away from the book. I do have to say that the narrators did an excellent job making Silver obnoxious, whether intentionally or unintentionally. I have to say it again. I really could not stand Silver. I would give this 2.5 stars.

I don't have books 4 - Alex or 5 - Chasin yet, so I will be jumping to Holden's book.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this book received via Booksprout.

Westen and Silver

A cute and funny enemies to lovers story. The banter they have is amazing. Westen helping to heal emotional scares from selfish dismissive parents. Gotta love a growly bossy alpha, and a fiesty strong woman who won't let him get a way with anything lol. I want to be part of this made family so much!!.

Good Twist

Another fun story in this series. Enjoyed the twist in the resolution with the bad guys. I liked the characters but at times Silver’s growth was hard to listen to but she got there with knowing her tendencies and worked at changing how she reacted. Looking forward to the other books.

Some “Ick” Factor, But Great Characters

Heroine Silver is one prickly pear! We come to understand over the course of the book why, but that doesn't make it any easier for the reader or listener to see her struggle in so many ways, including accepting help and understanding her worth. She's grown up in a toxic environment and makes her living doing a job usually reserved for men. Something's not quite right at work, and she ends up putting herself at significant risk to figure out what's going on. There's certainly an enemies-to-lovers aspect to this story, as the two have butted heads before the story opens. But of course, there's also mutual attraction. One thing about Silver is that she says it as she sees it, no matter what. She might lie if she doesn't want to let somebody in, but she's otherwise a straight shooter with little concern for how those words might affect others. Weston is a great, swoon-worthy hero, not letting her get away with anything and holding her to account when she wants to run away. She has so many emotional scars, it's at times hard to watch how that affects not only her but Weston. In the previous two books of the Gemini Group series, the heroines had situations in which they were put into life-threatening ones. This book could have easily gone that way, but I like how the author chose to have Silver make a deliberate choice, not just reacting on instinct but thinking of herself and her future. For someone who grapples with self-worth during the entire book, that was a necessary moment for her character growth.

Like all the books in this series, it's steamy and explicit. I don't mind steamy intimate scenes—in fact, I enjoy them if they don't get too clinical or crude in the naming of parts—but a few moments in this book did give me a bit of an “ick factor” in terms of what they did, what they wanted to do, and how they expressed it. That's unfortunate, because I did really like these characters in general, and it didn't really have to go that way. Despite this, though, I did enjoy their love story and hope to see a little more of them in the background of the upcoming books of the Gemini Group series.

Weston and Silver Love Story

What do you get when you have a former Navy Seal and a stubborn women who pilots a boat on the river? You guessed it outstanding chemistry between Weston said former Seal and stubborn Silver. These two personalities are strong and love hard characters. You have to read or listen to their story as Weston trues to protect her as what every Gemini guy does for his love.

I reread and listened to this book and have to say the narrators hit it on the nail for Weston and Silver.

Weston and Silver are my favorite Gemini couple

Weston is the type of man that will not let any disagreements or bad thoughts settle between him or Silver. silver has a lot going on between being abandoned by her mother and told she was a bad daughter by said mother and a father who cares about his daughter, but thinks he knows what is best for her, based on his wanting to get one over on his ex wife.

Loved this story and how hard this couple worked for their relationship and HEA.

Silver needs to stop posturing

Silver needs true self-confidence. Hers has been destroyed, and she needs help to change from posturing and pretending to true confidence and self-love. She is smart and strong and has a backbone, and her self-confidence simmers under the surface beneath her pretense she just needs Weston to bring out her true worth. Weston is a loyal and protective teammate, friend, and lover. He has to work not to have a heavy hand. He is a good man. The writing, action, and suspense are all well done. The narration is crisp and fresh.

Weston and Silver

Weston and Silver’s story was that of excitement and frustration. Weston was called in to save Silver because of things that she knew. Silver was a funny, frustrating person who would seriously make you think about the friendship 😊. She always wanted to be on a team of agents and fought hard to stay in the know. She grew up on a ship with her father and sailed the seas, lost a great childhood and had a mom who didn’t want to be a part of her life but use her to destroy her father.

Weston was tough but fighting for Silver’s love, affection, safety and everything else in the world was proven to be tiring. He fought to keep her safe and show her trusting the right person will only bring her happiness. He needs her to see he was the good guy, who will put his life on the line for her and fight everything she can’t handle, including herself.

Will Weston prove to Silver she is safe with him? Can he save her not only from herself but also from those who are after her?

Riley Edwards has given us another great story of the Gemini group. These men have strong women with flaws they battle for and against. The narrators once again knocked it out of the park!

Westin and Silver heat up on audio

The Gemini Group men are falling one by one.  Weston Beil is the third of the group to find his HEA with Silver Coyle.  Silver as we learned at the end of Jameson’s Surrender, has found evidence of ‘drug running’ on her dock.  She is a ship’s pilot and is charged with piloting ships in and out of her harbor.  Weston and the Gemini Group are helping the gov’t find and stop the criminals.  Even though the group warns Silver of the danger she goes head-first into danger and Gemini must save her.  She is stubborn to a fault and has such a high protective wall around her, it’s a wonder Weston can break it down.  But he does, and their chemistry explodes quickly!

Riley Edwards does a great job of bringing suspense, action, and romance to the reader and keeping me captivated with the characters; making me really care about them, wanting to know all their stories, and seeing them find their own HEA’s.  The men blend into a cohesive group, and I could feel the relationship between the men and women leaping off the pages.

I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, and I love it when the voices of the narrators line up with what I would hear in my head.  They both did a great job keeping me in the story.  It took a bit to understand their interpretation of characters, but once I did, I was able to completely immerse myself in Silver and Weston.  Erin had more of a challenge changing voices for all the male voices, however, there were more men characters than women. She did a great job with the inner voice in Silver’s head and her insecurities. I enjoyed the lilt in Joe’s voice making Weston seem serious, but also a bit playful. He did a good job distinguishing between the other men of the Gemini Group and their friends.   I was granted an audio arc of this book, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Loved it

I voluntarily reviewed this audiobook. Weston and Silver didn’t start on good grounds, but - fortunately that changes quickly. A very intense story that has some hilarious dialogues which the narrators excel at in delivering.

Insta-love and sharp edges

So this is the third book in the series and still I just need a bit more depth on one or more of the MCs. This time we actually get to know the female MC very well and it’s very well written when the author explores her feelings and thoughts. There’s a lot of baggage that gets unraveled and handled, some parts better then others, but overall it creates the link to the MC that I personally need. However, what I know about the male MC can fit in three lines.
It’s a 3.5-4 ⭐️ book for me.

Loved it!!

This is the third book in the series and I think I have found an interesting pattern, In each book, Riley Edwards seems to focus on one particular aspect of a healthy relationship above the rest. In this book, it appears to be about trust. Silver Coyle didn't have a happy childhood. Her mother put her down and her father, though loving for the most part, was selfish. She didn't trust them to have her back and, as such, learned to be entirely self-contained and self-reliant. Then she discovers that there may be major drug running affecting her work and she has to rely on Gemini Group to correct the issue. That is where she butts heads with Weston. The chemistry between them is explosive. When they stop fighting each other, Weston realizes that Silver is his treasure but he has a lot to fight through to win her trust.

I enjoyed this audiobook. In fact, I am enjoying the whole series in order. The men are over the top alpha and each of them has his own personal issues to address as well as the relationship challenges to contend with. The women are smart and capable. And the chemistry..... oooo la la!

This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Another great book from Riley

Riley is fast becoming one of my favourite authors.

I have saved this book until I had time to give it justice and have savoured every minute of it.

Weston and Silver's story is exciting and twists and turns whilst they navigate their fledgling relationship. Riley once again gets inside the heads of her main characters in this totally immersive tale.

Silver's dad is extraordinary and Weston's parents utterly hillarious. Add that to the developing portrait of Silver's mother, with her effect on poor Silver, and the cameraderie of the Gemini Group and you will quickly be sucked right into this story soaking up every drop.

And of course Joe and Erin knock the narration out of the park....

Another fantastic tale. Can't wait for the next one!.

You will love book 3!

This series is so well-written, and even though there is an arc and the stories should be ready in order, they are great stand-alone books as well.

One of the things I love about these books are the fable characters. They’re intelligent, strong, capable, and often working in traditionally male-dominated females. Silver is no different. She’s a graduate of the merchant marines and an accomplished boat captain in her own right. When she learns someone is using her boat to transport illicit drugs, she decides to do something about it. Her act of bravery catches the attention of the wrong people. Luckily, Weston from the Gemini Group comes to the rescue but the danger is far from over.

Silver is tough as nails- she has to be. Weston finds himself falling for her, but her unwillingness to accept help and her guarded personality puts her at risk until she begins to learn to trust Weston.

This book, like the others, is such a wonderful listen. Time goes by so fast, that I’m trying to savor the series before it’s over too quickly. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden, as always, completely make this book come to life.

Romance Suspense!

This is the third book in the Gemini Group series, a Romantic Suspense. Weston and Silver's enemies-to-lovers romance is suspenseful, filled with mystery, action, and twists and turns. They are two strong characters. Their push and pull relationship is entertaining. I liked the friendship between the team members, and I loved to see again the characters from the first books. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon did an amazing job with the narration. The last chapter is highly intriguing, and I am looking forward to listening to Alec's Dream, the next book in the series. If you like Romantic Suspense, this one is for you! I highly recommend this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Weston & Silver

Riley Edwards really knows how to write steamy hot scenes amongst an action filled story. This book gave hot flashes… I wasn’t sure if I was scared for the characters or fanning myself because of the character’s bedroom action.

The narrators, oh the narrators… Joe’s voice is just so dreamy and Erin’s voice really encapsulates the strength being portrayed by the female main character.

6 stars would be my rating if I could.

well this Gemini was totally different

I'm really surprised at this story. I'm so used to black ops stories from Riley so when this was more romance/relationship centered, my eyebrows rose.
I really enjoyed book 1 and 2 and loved Mickey and Kennedy's characters but silver...hmmmm her first name should be snit! because to me that's just about all she does that and make stupid mistakes. I couldn't find any sort of redemption in her at all. i was fast beginning to eyerroll. Weston should be St Weston, as he put up with a lot of shite!
again this was a completely unusual piece of writing for Riley.
I referred her steamy scenes in book 2 as her heroes Being ike Susan Stokers men, just way too nice and controlled but in this book, it's hot steam all the way!
loved the intro into book 4 but sounds like another one off this type storyline.....
narration was spot on as usual with these 2. so in saying all this, I still enjoyed the book but not as much as book 1 and book 2. I kinda like the action and intrigue Riley can write more so than the family , romantic, domestic stuff.
