Aiden and Annabelle!

Another delightful quick romance by Amber Seraph leads us to Lazarus County. Annabelle comes from the wealthy in Philadelphia. Unhappy with her father's choices of suitors, she takes life into her own hands, behind his back! It leads her to Lazarus County where she meets Aidan. Aidan realizes there is more to life than just working his ranch in New Mexico. When he answer Annabelle's letter, he has no idea what he is in for! Will they work out? This quick story is one of those that warms your hear. I love Annabelle's spunk and the way she would not settle. She has wit and bravery and a lot of love to give to the right man. Aidan is one of those that we all fall for. Hard working, good looking and good company, it's hard not to like the man. It's another fun and fast listen. Brought to life by the talents of Charley Ongel, with her warm,melodic voice, she let's us live their story.

They continue to improve

Unlike the second book in the series, this one depends heavily on knowledge of the Killarnies and the townspeople. But don't let that dissuade you. If you are coming in cold, the learning curve might be a little steep, but its worth it.

Annabelle is a modern (for the 1880s) woman and getting to know her is a joy. Getting some backstory on Aiden and the twins is very enjoyable as well. But the story has such a "slow burn" feeling, it makes the final chapters more HEA than I expected.

Author and narrator both are to be admired for the pleasant diversion.

Sweet Historical Romance

I read this as four audiobooks in one.

I loved these stories. Although all taking place in the same town in New Mexico, they are about very different love stories!
The last one was my favorite!
I wasn't particularly pleased with the narration though! She constantly breathed out her words like excitement at a constant rhythm. it was strange. Two stories starred Irish characters, and her Irish lilt was anything but!
She did do great on the other voices though. If she worked on her breathyness she'd be amazing!
