Publisher's Summary

Kelsey is on her way to a life do-over. And it's not the first time. Abandoned by her drug-addict mother as a teen, she landed in a foster-care group home where she experienced faith and community - and met her best friends, Jazz and Theadora. The trio stuck together like sisters and vowed to make their lives mean something.

Now Kelsey's pushing thirty, and her life has taken a wrong turn. Pregnant and alone after loving the wrong man, she's on her way to making another life-changing decision when a wicked blizzard strands her outside the sleepy town of Wishing Bridge.

After being rescued from a snowbank by handsome cop, she's embraced by the welcoming village, but she still feels upside down. Fortunately, her frantic SOS brings her besties rushing to help sort things out. They soon find that Wishing Bridge has as many secrets as Kelsey does - and she's connected to it in ways she couldn't have imagined.

One of my Top 2017 Listens!

I don't normally read contemporary Christian romance as I prefer historical, which I also write. But this concept intrigued me. And I loved this story. The reader will be swept right into the setting and will love this story of second chances. Wonderful hero and heroine. One of my top listens for 2017!

Wonderful Wishing Bridge!

I spent an entirely wonderful day in Wishing Bridge, the fictional town created so masterfully by Ruth Logan Herne. I really felt as if I was peeking into the lives of the people that live there and end up there. This story is filled with second chances, kindness, generosity, and hope. The mystery of Kelsey's possible connection to Wishing Bridge is quite intriguing. Listen for yourself, you won't be disappointed in this Christmas time tale.
The narrator did a great job of bringing each character to life.

Beautiful Story!

This book is such an uplifting story. I bought the next one in the series as soon as I finished this book. I can't wait for the next one to come out. It's always refreshing to see true talent shine through in the absence of graphic sex scenes. Highly recommend this series!

Belonging

This story is one of belonging-of searching for a place to overcome one’s past and begin fresh among supporters and friends. It shows how the past tends to dog us. Even when we’ve separated ourselves from it and accomplished good and honorable things. It shows how God works to give us a hope and a future in the most unexpected ways. Believable hero’s and heroines, a plot that is realistic yet filled with magic and God’s providence and an assortment of needs and desires coupled with intriguing advice and small town charm make this a book for lovers of romance and good story. The narrator does a fantastic job with the various roles. Her voice is pleasant and her emotions just right.

Great story.

It is heavily Christian. but the story is good enough to keep you going.
it's very sweet and you can see how her belief system comforts her.

I believe in positive affirmation. and prayers and all positive affirmations are the same. If enough people wanting the same thing can create enough positive energy it can make something happen.

So with that in mind as I listened to the book it was all good.

I will be following this series if the rest of the books are as nice as the first. It is very refreshing to hear a story that has a lot of good people in it. Not everything that goes bad is totally horrible and devastating. The author showed how honesty can be the answer and faith in people's goodness can fix most any problem.

Wishing Bridge

In my opinion the story was fleshed out with too many religious references. I felt like I was listening to a Hallmark Xmas movie

Enjoyable winter read

This was a nice winter romance/women's fiction novel. I try to stay away from anything Christmasy until after Thanksgiving but I needed something light to listen to the last few days of work before that Thanksgiving break. So I was happy that it wasn't really Christmasy or holidayish. Christmas and New Year's is mentioned but more as markers of time. I liked the characters and wouldn't mind reading more about the characters and town.
