Publisher's summary

No one knows why it started, but the monster invasion all began right here, in Heathen Row.
Ever since, men all over the world have been on the menu. And women have been at the frontlines, hunting the predators.
But in a world where women are over-armed, over-paid, and under-satiated, Chris Hart isn’t staying safe inside while the monsters come out to feast.
He’s living a double life, and doing his damndest to make sure no scientists, corporations, or hired monster hunters find out about the powers he gained the night he came to Heathen Row.
Or about the sexy monster woman he’s hiding away to complete his own private mission.

So lock your doors and load your guns. It’s going to be a bloody night.

Intresting premise, executed well.

I had given logan jacobs a pass after not liking one of his other books at all, but this one had an interesting enough premise for me to give it a go. I wont summarize what the page already does but the idea was rather intresting. There's a few oddities here and there (The monsters have only been around a few years but theres a mention of a many with his three wives, but they all have kids by him? Not babies? That may just be semantics, though.)

The two main characters are pretty standard for this sort of affair but voiced well and written well. There was an issue where the chapter that thanked me for listening was actually chapter 19 but there was a rather important chapter 20 (The last chapter being important, go figure!)

The voices for most of the other non main characters were good, but a few were a little similar. Still, i can't really blame the voice actors for that.

I am looking forward to the rest of this series.

Great start for a new series!

It’s not often that the monster hunter gains respect for the monster. Or it seems as if the story is shared between man and beast. Keep you entertained to then.
