One runaway human. One frustrated werewolf sheriff. Pretending to be mates is supposed to be the easy part....
Robin never imagined she'd be on the run, but after being framed for a crime she didn't commit, her only option is to disappear. She lands in Fairhaven Falls, a quirky small town full of creatures that should terrify her—but after dealing with real-life villains, a town of monsters is almost a relief. If only she didn't keep falling into the arms of the town's huge werewolf sheriff....
Eric has had it with his pack's matchmaking schemes. They've been sending a steady stream of she-wolves to his door in an effort to tie him down, and he needs a break. The pretty little human with the frightened eyes and the most delectable scent he's ever encountered seems like the perfect solution—they'll pretend to be mates, and his pack will finally give him some breathing room.
Robin's not thrilled about cozying up to the law, especially not a bossy, protective werewolf, but when he gives her that hot, hungry look, it's easy to forget she's a fugitive. With his pack breathing down their necks and her past catching up fast, the only thing scarier than the monsters in town is the fact that their little charade is starting to feel dangerously real.
Each book in the Fairhaven Falls series can be enjoyed as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy holiday tale is intended for mature listeners.

I was happy we finally get to focus on the sheriff finding his happy ever after but boy was it a rollercoaster for him and his mate. I felt for him with the pack breathing down his neck, sending female werewolves to try and convince him to pick one and come lead the pack as Alpha. I am happy he didnt since he is much better as a Sheriff protecting the people of Fairhaven Falls. You know there is meddling though (normally of the good kind) when Flora gets involved muahaha. She gets another couple together in this one with Eric and Robin instantly feeling the connection but it was a slower burn to let her feel comfortable and open up to him.
Robin is on the run and has a lot of emotional baggage from her treatment from her employer. I understand not trusting people easily after she was turned into the bad guy back in her previous town. I do love how her gargoyle employer is super sweet and kind to her, easing her in to working in this town of monsters and gaining confidence in herself. I couldn't help giggle with the interactions between Robin and Eric though and some awkward but also the tension slowly building. I did like that they were instant getting together! I liked how he couldn't help being in his wolf form and protecting her (part of the appeal of werewolf/shifters with their instincts kicking in). I also loved seeing Robin bloom into a strong woman in the story and appreciated when she defended herself and her future mother-in-law saw her and then approved of her haha.
I liked seeing all the cameos and getting more info with our favorite characters from previous stories. I have so many hopes for some of these newer ones/ones who have remained single to get their HEAs as well. Can't wait for more from this world on audio. Narrators did a good job with this one, I felt the male narrator exuded a good feral and growly main character haha and the female narrator did a good job with our shy and blossoming leading lady. I did wish this was duet but I understand why it always can't be.
Went right into listening to the next audiobook available (which was one of my favorite of the whole series, review to come soon!).
Good addition to the overall series! Love the town

Robin shouldn’t have been surprised that the sheriff looked into her situation. All cops verify someone’s story, even when they’re telling the truth.
Wedding in the title, not in the story.
