Too much spanking, not enough romance!

I didn’t realize when I bought this audiobook that this was one of those authors who glorifies spanking in her books (personally I got enough spankings as a child that it does nothing for me, lol). Nevertheless, I decided to trudge on and listen. To me this audiobook was just one spanking and threatening to spank after the other. Now, I like dominant guys just fine- I think they can be very sexy. I just couldn’t enjoy hearing “Now I’m going to spank you for being such a bad girl” one more time. Sorry, but it’s a dud for me, but if you’re into that sort of thing you’ll probably love the story. The narrator did a good job though.

An facinating start to the series. I haven't listened to alien stories before this one and the overall premise is interesting. Earth only allows 2 children. Amy is a 3rd child and although hidden, she lives a pampered life. Her father refuses to buy her a car and in a show of defiance, she steals one and gets caught then shipped off to a detention center where she is sold to aliens that Earthlings think are like cavemen. The plot is basic. Not much going on, but this book is a light escape, and decent for a short book. I would have preferred much more character development, and the book ends rather abruptly, even though there is an epilogue.

Aimee is an illegal third child on a world that only allows two. She is arrested and sent to a detention center to be sold as a bride. Because she is defiant, the warden decides to sell her to three dominant warriors that are considered savages. She is forced to be obedient, but she finds that she is happy to be with her mates. This is a wonderful story that I really enjoyed. The narration is well done!
