Publisher's summary

The finale to the Zone War series.

Alone and weaponless, with a remote controlled bomb in his neck, Ajaya Gurung must plan and fight better and harder than ever before. The last Spider is out there, in the Zone, plotting the end of man, and man is ignoring the danger. Left with only his skills, wits, and courage, he must adapt and overcome before it's too late. If only he had an ace in the hole...oh wait...he does!

good end to the trilogy

I want more. it leaves off with the apocalypse, sort of, but it works to tie off most of the strings and takes care of its main characters.

Action packed trilogy ends in narration

The first half is action packed, but the second half relies too much on the narrator just telling us what happened in a second hand sort of way. Not an all bad ending, but a more definite, action driven ending would have been more satisfying. Still, I had to see how it ends!

loved the books but heated the ending

loved these books. terrible ending though no real conclusion dont know if there will be more. most of this book is boring and considering the first 2 were so awesome this was a let down. not satisfying. almost like it was written for a different series closer to world war Z. disappointed in the end......

Yeah, I'm doing this, Pasted review from bk1

I love this book so much that I've listened to it several times over the last 18 months. Let me correct that statement...I've listened to the whole series several times. This is one of those book series that I call a palette cleanser. When I need a break or need to get my mind off a series that's stuck in my head I either go to Zone War or Demon Accords.

I do have one complaint in general about the series as a whole though. IT'S TOO SHORT MR CONROE! I would like another book or two please.

Well written wrap up to the series that lets down in the end.

I love John Conroe’s style of writing that puts me in the middle of the action. This third part of the series has much less action and more explanatory narration that is disappointing in the end. If you are hooked on the Zone War series like me, it’s a must read that you should approach with lowered expectations.

Another awesome series!!

These books are so good, all of John Conroe’s books are so good I’ve read them all twice! Probably read them all again waiting for the next in the series,!
James Patrick Cronin is one hell of a narrator also, different voices for each and EVERY character!! Amazing!

Excellent series

I really enjoyed this series. I recommend it wholeheartedly for YA as well as seasoned readers. Very enjoyable with action and great storyline minus graphic violence/language/sex.
I have found a new author/narrator!!

So good, but so sad it’s a trilogy.

I have 49 minutes left in this book and I really feel like it’s just getting started. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first two books. It just feels like the story is really just taking off. There could be 3 more books easily. They are just building their own society. I don’t want to spoil anything. You will just have to listen and judge for yourself. Maybe it’s the coronavirus talking, but the whole isolating from the modern world and just starting over and doing it right seems pretty good right about now.

Great book. I hope there are more in the future.

A good follow up

I have enjoyed the series, it's been a favorite. I enjoy AJs trips into the zone and fights with the bots. This book started well and fizzled out. I get the feeling the author wanted to close out the series. 2/3 thru the main characters run away to form a utopic comunist hideout in the woods....i feel like i was used and ripped off a bit.
