Publisher's Summary

Prepare to experience paradise... No author in history has more material in print than Charles Spurgeon. Today, more than a century after his death, countless people continue to have a passion for this London preacher, and more and more discover him every day. Some of Spurgeon’s most powerful sermons were those he preached on Heaven. Up until now, however, very few of these sermons have been available to a modern audience. In what is sure to become an instant classic, best-selling author Randy Alcorn has compiled fifty of the most profound spiritual insights on eternity from these sermons and arranged them into an easily accessible, highly inspirational format complete with his own comments and devotional thoughts. Whether you are familiar with the works of Charles Spurgeon or not, you are in for a treat as Alcorn invites you to sit at the feet of the “prince of preachers” and discover timeless pearls of wisdom about Heaven from one of the greatest theologians of all time.

Great presentation of this classic

It was a real treat to have Randy Alcorn participate in this excellent presentation. Simon Vance has an excellent voice. The integration of Randy's work with Spurgeon was delightful.

We Shall See God

I plan to listen to this book over and over again because I've found that I never get all of the meanings in one setting. The author is thorough and inspirational. The subject is worth the time it will take to dig out these truths.

Two 5 star books in one

Alcorn and Spurgeon are two men of God who share many of the same theological views and creeds. Randy Alcorn has not yet written an neurobiology, neither has Charles Spurgeon for that matter, but much has been written about him. I would recommend his 5 volumes of some of his sermons. It makes an excellent resource for many and various works of comparative writing and for sermon or teaching subjects. This book is a 5 star on its own merits it is also 5 star as a companion to Alcorn's "Heaven".The narration by Randy Alcorn is excellent!

Captivating

I recently and unexpectedly lost my 22 year old daughter to epilepsy. This book met me in my sorrow and gave me encouragement in this trial. Randy has a way of expounding on the scripture, making it so personal, the way God intended the Word to be taught. So much to learn from both Spurgeon and Alcorn's teachings, I'll be starting again at Chapter 1 today. My husband narrates audiobooks, so I know the amount of skill and time it takes to produce...great job with the narration too! Brilliant piece of work. #missingMia

Compelled to live for Christ and draw others to Him

Just finished listening to this book. I can only hope and pray that it will be read or listened to by everyone I know and more. Can be used one day at a time as it has been broken down into about 50 or so sections so you can listen to it for 10-20 minutes a day or as fast as you want. Randy Alcorn introduces each section and then plays portions of Spurgeon as he addresses Heaven and the important subject of eternity. As a life time Christian wavering on works vs blood, hope vs assurance, and knowledge vs service, It helps to put a perspective on it all.
And finally instills a courage to work to draw others, anyone and everyone to Christ.
