Publisher's Summary

James and Aidan didn’t need fate. They had each other.

Alpha James and Beta Aiden love each other and don’t care what fate has to say about that. Mating doesn’t need to be based on pheromones and scents. And kids? There were many ways to build a family.

When fate comes knocking years later, James does what any wolf in his situation would—he runs away. He has a mate he loves more than anything, and they’re just about to get everything they want: a family. He can’t risk losing everything because fate decided to be a butt.

Omega Riley scented his fated mate once months earlier, and the wolf ran away. He is coming to terms with his singledom. Everything is going as well as it can, that is, until his fated mate’s children walk into his classroom.

We Choose You is book one in the sweet with knotty heat MM shifter mpreg romance series: Choice vs. Fate. It features an alpha wolf shifter who mated his beta best friend, the omega sent by fate, true love, twins who will steal your heart, adorable babies, and a guaranteed happy ever after.

Choice

I liked the overall storyline and idea of the story. It’s a cute and quick sweet book. The writing was a bit too formal at times but overall a cute listen.

a quick but fun read

This is a quick read but also a fun one. The main characters, James, Aiden, and Riley, are so sweet together and their HEA was satisfying. Can’t wait to read more from this series. The narration by Lance West very easy to listen to.

Sweet short story

I loved this story when I read it. I was very excited to be able to listen to an audio version of the story. This certainly didn't disappoint on the delivery or storytelling. A very good listen. This narrator was new to me and at first, I wasn't certain. However, he really grew on me and bought these three to life. I am eager to listen to the rest of these books and hear more about this group that is forming. If you are looking for a short sweet low angst listen with family and all the feels, this is certainly worth your while to check out.

Absolutely ADORED!!

I loved everything about this audiobook!! I read and reviewed the ARC of this book not too long ago but something about the narrator brought it to life in a whole new way! It was easy to decipher when different characters were “in charge” and the love scenes didn’t sound cheesy being verbalized! Great overall!

Great audiobook

I originally read this without narration and I really liked it then but the narration made it even better I really enjoyed the kids they adopted and how quickly they worked out that they could all be together and that they realized communication was still important after they made their family official

Sweet quick story

What a sweet little novella. I am a fan of the whole fated mate trope but this book gives it a whole new spin. I loved it! James and Austin are completely in love and at first the idea that James has a fated mate is a shock. But as they both get to know Riley, they realize that all 3 of them make a perfect family. The narrator is new to me but he has a good voice.

short and steamy!

This was a sweet, short and steamy MMM romance. Alpha James and Beta Aiden have been together for years, when they decide they want to adopt. They are chosen mates. James scents his fated mate in Riley, the kids new teacher. This was really good. Overall, a great listen! The story was really well written, the pacing was smooth, highly recommend. Lance West did a great job with the narrations. He was easy to listen to. Overall, well done, a great short and steamy story!

A Different Take on Fated Mates

I enjoyed this different take on fated mates. It was nice to see that shifters can have a fated and a chosen mate. It was short, but I wish it was longer! The narrator did a great job as usual. I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

A cute story

In between I like to listen to fantasy stories. What I liked here was that it didn't follow the usual pattern.
There was an alpha who chose a beta, although that's not necessarily usual. But what happens when the alpha runs into his mate in the form of an omega?
The story was entertaining and diverting and I almost wished it had gone on a tiny bit longer, just to find out how the family develops.
The narrator, Lance West, did a great job. I find his voice very pleasant, he expresses the emotions well and I could super distinguish the different characters.

Adorable! Wonderful Performance by Lance West

Oh my gosh, totally sweet and corny in just the right way, Katy Manz's We Choose You is simply adorable.

The tale of an alpha and beta pair who long for a family, and discover their perfect future in an omega who fits right in.

The audio is very nicely performed by Lance West who is a new narrator to me. This talented voice actor has several other audiobook credits to his name and I'll definitely be checking his work out. Mr. West has a wide range of voices he used in We Choose You, and I was impressed by how well he fit each one to just the right character. Bravo Lance West! 4 Stars for his performance.

Great beginning for the series

I loved all the complications that love and fated mates brought to this alpha, beta and omega. It was nice not to be able to figure out from the beginning exactly how the author was going to resolve things. I wish it had been at least twice as long so we could have more time to get to know the characters. I will definitely check on the next book in the series as this was an interesting start. Lance West gave a terriffic performance. The characters were clearly differentiated and all the emotional feels were there.

Cute story

I’m still struggling with the rules of the omegaverse. That being said, Alphas and Betas can’t have pups but they can fall in love. They’re just not likely to be fated mates. James and Aiden have been together forever. What they have transcends fated mates. They love each other. Now they’re ready to start a family. And found family is as good as any other, right?

As a child who was adopted, I have a big love of any book that shows the kind of love between parents and their adopted children.

There’s a catch – Riley is James’s fated mate. The omega and the alpha are destined to be together. So where does that leave Aiden? And will Riley always feel like the outsider?

This is a cute story with some real emotion and I enjoyed it. I especially adored Jimmy and April.

Lance West did well narrating the story and I’ll definitely pick up more by this author should they come up.

A quick enjoyable listen

I liked how We Choose You had a bit of a different twist to usual A/b/o and fated mates reads in that there was an established Alpha and beta couple who chose each other despite the fact that being Alpha and beta they weren’t fated. The whole dilemma of what to do when Alpha James meets his fated mate Omega Riley was what intrigued me, when he had already chosen Beta Aiden.

Overall this was a fun and enjoyable listen. It was quick enough that I could listen while at work in the afternoon. I do think it could have done with being longer - mostly because after the whole what will we do after James first met Riley and then he and Aiden met him again, things moved pretty fast. Now in fated mates books that standard, however the addition of the 2 adorable twins that Aiden and James had adopted I think made there be a bit more of a need for things to have slowed down just a tad. But it was enjoyable enough that I’ll be picking up book 2 when it comes out.

The narration was really good - a first time listen to this narrator I think, and I’d definitely listen to them again. Nice distinct voices of the characters and no weird breathing or intonations etc. that sometimes puts me off narrators.

Short and Sweet

We Choose You is a short novella about fate and free will set within an omegaverse world. James and Aiden are an established Alpha and Beta couple. They aren’t fated but they are deeply in love. Everything gets turned upside down when Riley, James’ fated omega mate, enters the picture. The pacing of the book is fast, and due to the breadth of the plot, the novella doesn’t really get the chance to explore any character or theme in depth. But that’s okay because it’s an entertaining, feel good read that’s perfect for a quick shot of fluff and pleasure. The ending is happy and the family dynamics are sweet.

The audiobook was narrated by Lance West who does a great job. The voices were consistent and it was easy to follow along. The audiobook production was done well.

James, Aiden and Reilly

I loved how Alpha James and Beta Aiden have been an established couple and happy with their life, then Alpha James smells his fated and runs, only to find out later, the kids they have adopted start school and Aiden thinks the teacher is hot. When James meets him he can't believe its his fated mate, Omega Riley. Beautifully written and narrated

Wonderful fated mates romance

This is a good story to start this new series. I enjoyed the established couple, James and Aiden, who then face a dilemma when James fated omega mate turns up in their lives. It's difficult as James and Aiden are Alpha and Beta, not fated but chose to be together and have been for many years but every alpha supposedly has a fated omega mate.
Aiden running away actually made me smile as it's the opposite of what we'd think of as alpha behaviour. One of my favourite things about this book is that family comes first and so James knows that this won't just affect him but his chosen mate, Aiden, as well as their two recently adopted children. Riley deals with everything so well, especially the shock of when he sees James again and realises the situation. Together they have a really special bond that they take the time to develop and make sure it's right for all of them, especially with the children being involved, who are totally adorable!
This is a quick listen but it's a heartwarming story with the slow building of the relationship. I enjoyed all of the characters and the romance.
Lance West does a wonderful job narrating the three MC's. Their personalities comes through and I felt the emotions that the characters were experiencing throughout.
