Publisher's Summary

Warlock Holmes may have demons in his head, but now, Dr. John Watson has a mummy in his bloodstream. Specifically that of the sorcerer Xantharaxes, who, when shredded and dissolved in an eight percent solution, results in some extremely odd but useful prophetic dreams.

There's also the small matter of Watson falling for yet another damsel du jour and Warlock deciding that his companion needs some domestic bliss....

you've disappointed me G. S.

I love Sherlock Holmes stories and when I started this series I loved it too. 1-3 were beyond my expectations and even the cliffhangers (which I hate beyond reason) kept me chomping at the bit for the next book. But this book was an incredible disappointment I was expecting more laughs, intrigue, and a better sense of the overall story. Instead I found myself either skipping through chapters, cursing at John and Warlock, and wishing I'd never picked up the first book in the series at the end. I'm expecting a more enthralling story in the next volume G. S. or you'll find yourself short a reader no matter home many you put out.

fun, but deja vue!

Constant state of deja vu due to the closeness of this to the original manuscript. At least in everything that mattered! this is very Dr. Watson oriented, and does not have the full joy that Warlock brings. Still a good offering, but not my favorite of the series today.

I hope this isn't the end

I love this series and I hope there are more books coming. I hope this isn't the last one in the series.

Absurd demonic fun

With the exception of a painfully badly mispronounced "outré" right out of the gate, this is a well narrated addition to the Warlock Holmes series.
