Warlock Holmes may have demons in his head, but now, Dr. John Watson has a mummy in his bloodstream. Specifically that of the sorcerer Xantharaxes, who, when shredded and dissolved in an eight percent solution, results in some extremely odd but useful prophetic dreams.

There's also the small matter of Watson falling for yet another damsel du jour and Warlock deciding that his companion needs some domestic bliss....

I love this series and I hope there are more books coming. I hope this isn't the last one in the series.

I hope this isn't the end

The few complaints I've seen about this book revolve around the deepening of the plot. Instead of a series of roughly linked hilarious hijinks, we begin to understand some of the nature of the world our two hero's inhabit. This is the uncomfortable portion of the story where you can see people making mistakes and they're doing them for good reasons (Or not) but you want to yell at them to stop.

And that's part of story telling.

I'm looking forward to seeing the resolution of this book in the future additions. I'm so glad I've only got a month to wait.

Also, Rober Garson...WELL DONE SIR! WELL DONE! Accents, intonation, all of it. Well done indeed!

One might say...capital!

I love Sherlock Holmes stories and when I started this series I loved it too. 1-3 were beyond my expectations and even the cliffhangers (which I hate beyond reason) kept me chomping at the bit for the next book. But this book was an incredible disappointment I was expecting more laughs, intrigue, and a better sense of the overall story. Instead I found myself either skipping through chapters, cursing at John and Warlock, and wishing I'd never picked up the first book in the series at the end. I'm expecting a more enthralling story in the next volume G. S. or you'll find yourself short a reader no matter home many you put out.

you've disappointed me G. S.
