The #1 New York Times bestselling Red Queen series comes to a stunning conclusion in War Storm.

VICTORY COMES AT A PRICE.

Mare Barrow learned this all too well when Cal’s betrayal nearly destroyed her. Now determined to protect her heart—and secure freedom for Reds and newbloods like her—Mare resolves to overthrow the kingdom of Norta once and for all . . . starting with the crown on Maven’s head.

But no battle is won alone, and before the Reds may rise as one, Mare must side with the boy who broke her heart in order to defeat the boy who almost broke her. Cal’s powerful Silver allies, alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard, prove a formidable force. But Maven is driven by an obsession so deep, he will stop at nothing to have Mare as his own again, even if it means demolish everything—and everyone—in his path.

War is coming, and all Mare has fought for hangs in the balance. Will victory be enough to topple the Silver kingdoms? Or will the little lightning girl be forever silenced?

In the epic conclusion to Victoria Aveyard’s stunning series, Mare must embrace her fate and summon all her power . . . for all will be tested, but not all will survive.

I really liked this series. I felt like the characters were believable and grew to really like each of them. The first or second book were probably my favorite. I would recommend this series to anyone, however, this last book was a little disappointing for me. It seems like the author was rushed to publish this last instalment and cut everything off short. We have now read/listened to this book for hours and then everything is over in about 5 chapters a lot of the storylines just ending, almost abruptly. It was a very strange ending and I wish the author could rewrite it. There are even a few things left unfinished which I hate in a series I’ve dedicated time and feelings to. Lastly, the author uses the word sneer way too often - apparently that’s the only expression these characters can have. Overall I would definitely still read it as I did love the other 3 books.

Brilliant story and characters you come to think are friends along the journey! I haven’t read something so captivating in years. Mare Barrow rises from the ashes to captivate another part of her life. I highly recommend this entire series. Eloquently written and I could envision the story clearly as it went on, not wanting it to end. It is one of those that stays with you for awhile after it is complete.

I loved all the narrators of this book. However, that ending was crap! I cannot believe that I listened to an audio book that was over 24 hours long, and I get that ending? I wasted 24 hours. Oh my goodness! 🤦🏻‍♀️

The End My Foot!

The narrator for Evangaline was the best in the series. also, happy to hear that the main narrator FINALLY figured out how to say respite.

All of that for that?!?

Loved it, but Mare and Cal deserved an ending together that was concrete. Just disappointed.

This book and series had me going until the end!
