This was a great book. The narrator was outstanding. His accents and inflections were perfect. The storyline was beautifully written. A great love story. The characters were entertaining and humorous. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was disappointed when it ended

The power of love.
A wonderful story of love and endurance. It was easy to visualize each character I know what they were feeling. Couldn’t ask for a better ending.

Wonderful book!
I was transported in time and place. I loved the cultural differences and similarities of the characters all trying to survive that devastating war! The narration was perfect!

Fabulous
It took me on a journey. A beautifully written love story. I was Totally engaged.
I was able to walk along side Iris and feel her love for her beloved Pietro. Ms. Wallace delivered an amazing story. My only regret is that it ended. Oh but what a beautiful ending. Quite a storyteller. I cannot wait for her next book. Thank you so much Ms. Jill Wallace for taking me on a wonderful adventure. It simply brought me happiness. Ivette Griffith

Fantastic!
