My Thoughts on Wanted: A Mommy for Christmas

This was such a cute holiday romance. What started as a well intentioned letter from a little girl to find love for her daddy and a mommy for herself led to misunderstandings, mishaps, and mayhem. But it also lead to a slow burn romance that ended my favorite way.

The narrator for this story Rebecca Ehrenpreis was new to me but I really liked her. She had a fun energetic tone that I thought was well suited for this Winter Cheer elf character. There were also a lot of side characters in the story and I thought she did really well with giving them all their own tone.

Overall this was a good listen and one I would recommend to holiday romance fans.

Love this story! I think I will have to listen to it again around Christmas, nothing better than a Magic Christmas Love story🥰

Good

Overall, I thought the story and narration were good. I normally don't listen/read love stories. I liked that it had a happy ending for everyone. I took one star off for the weird sex scene. I thought it was a bit unnecessary because some things can just be implied. Random but I didnt think the cover art went with the story. The story seemed somewhat animated because of the narrator's voice. Just my opinion.

So very close...

After getting over the SHOCK of this being set where I live... Fayetteville, NC, I was able to focus. AT least for awhile. Laughing is a bit distracting. I really enjoyed the tale and smooth humor of the Winter Elf. I could actually see it playing as a movie in my mind. I did not hit any disappointment until around 14 minutes from the end. The crude sex scene was so unneeded. It completely disrupted the flow for me. I had to make myself finish the last 12 minutes. I am sure others probably will not care, but it was just too good a story to fall back on, in my opinion, a cheap shot.

I enjoyed the story but felt like it was a bit rushed in places. It all happened very fast the book seemed short. I like the idea of the story,hadn't heard or read one like it before. Missing a star as I just wanted more in the build up of the story.
