Good story, terrible narration

I had to quit listening and returned the audio book. I went to the library to find the book and finish it. The story, characters and narrator’s voice are fine. The narration is disjointed that it actually made it hard to follow. The worst by far that I’ve ever listened to. That’s quite an accomplishment since I have over 800 books in my library. Very disappointing!

Didn’t love the narration but love the book and its characters. Can’t wait for more.

Love the characters, but…

I love the characters and storyline, and the authors voice is fine. But, it’s clear that they used AI or a computer to piece together the audio. Not a good flow, and inflection is off in a lot of areas. I wish I would have just read the book instead of listening.

Great Story, Hiccups in Audio

Love the story. Audio was better than the first book in this series, but still strange gaps and mispronunciation were distracting. The story was interesting enough that moving past the hiccups was worth it.

Did not enjoy performance on Audible. I’ve listened to hundreds of books. This is not a good audible listen. But is a very good story.

Loved the story!

The author narrates her book and while the book itself is great, her narration-not so much. It would be nice if a different narrator would read. It was harder to distinguish between one character speaking from the other. Had to really pay attention. Again, love the book!

Love, pure humor and the murder auspense

Absolutely love the characters and the twist and turns of their lives. Filled with a murder and suspense with I a sense of living their lives with them.

Great story the narration sucked

Great story I was really looked forward to the second book after I listened to the first. But I was extremely disappointed when I noticed the author was doing the narration.

Great Story Horrible Narrator

Liked the story but the narrator was terrible. Her pauses were off her tone was off. Had the story not been engaging I would have given up on this book.

Difficult to listen to. Narrator spoke too fast. Sentences ran together.

Have enjoyed all the books by this author that I have listened to so far. I really enjoyed the first book in this series and the narrator in that book did a great job. This book was also good. However, This narrator made it difficult to really get into the storyline. Oops… just realized the narrator is the author! I suggest you hire a good narrator next time 😉
