Publisher's summary

It’s a typical night in the emergency department. Patients are streaming in, and the waiting room is packed. People are irritated. Staff has been pushed to their limits. To top it off, there’s some kind of commotion in the corner that involves both hospital security and the police. And Brayan, a seasoned nurse, is forced to deal with it all.

On this particular night, he has had more than his fair share of stress. So much so that it has given him a pounding headache and a stabbing pain in his gut. There was the confrontation with a patient’s angered boyfriend. Then, the people who were involved in what appears to be a car crash. The sudden flashbacks involving his ex-fiancée. And the commotion in the corner that has the detectives interviewing his co-workers.

Amidst all the chaos, something else is happening that Brayan can’t quite put his finger on. He doesn’t realize it, but the timer is ticking, and he needs to, somehow, gain control of it before his very existence is put in jeopardy.

Intriguing and Creepy

Waiting in a Room of Weeds is a short novella that puts me in mind of a "Twilight Zone or Night Gallery" tv show because the ending put everything into focus. The story does bounce around a bit but it helps explain what is going on and the ending. The book is fast paced and well written with a cast of ethereal characters. I highly recommend this book.

Tangled in the Weeds!

I loved this story it was like entering a busy emergency room and ending up in the Twilight Zone. Tim Sabados should sell this story to CBS for inclusion in their new Twilight Zone series. The narration by Josh McDaniel was perfect… be sure to add this story to your listening list.

An interesting story

Thank his was kind of a strange story. I found it kind of hard to follow until the end end. Then it all made sense. A great different kind of mystery.

Rather unusual Short Story

Until you get to the end of this short story, you'll not truely understand why this Nurse keeps working even with all the pain he is in.

Trauma, mystery, surprise ending.

In this novella we get to experience a very busy emergency room in the eyes of a triage nurse. The rudeness. The pain. The helplessness. The worry. The trauma. We also view some of his history with his girlfriend in flash backs. It's all so very entertaining. Makes me appreciate our medical staff even more! There is a mysteriousness throughout the book and a surprise ending. Gulp!

Every once in awhile you need a good quickie!

Wow... this was such an excellent quick little audiobook with tons of page-turning action and drama to keep you going start to finish with no breaks! I usually like my books with a little more meat to them. Books under 3 hours normally get skipped. But my God, I am so happy this one didn't get skipped. I loved the characters. I loved Mandy... even though she is a crazy B... I can kinda relate to her. And poor Bryan. And there is something about books and Tv that takes place in a hospital, I totally love them and always have! The ending was a little frustrating, but it was meant to be. (I think lol). And I totally understand why the author did this. I would LOVE to listen/ read more from Tim Sabados. And the narrator did a great job too! If you guys ever need any more reviews, especially audiobooks. (I like to be able to multi-task). But anyway, I highly recommend this one!
