Get ready for an explosive disaster shocker.... The attack that took down the grid was just the beginning....

The United States hasn’t even begun to recover from the first wave of pandemonium when a new terror is unleashed upon the nation.

Could you play God to decide who lives and dies?

While the horrors of nuclear destruction fall around him, one man must make a choice...and the decision will haunt him for the rest of his days.

The fallout is only the start....

With food and water already in short supply, this newest disaster introduces a whole new level of madness, bedlam, and havoc.

Wait like a Stone is book four in the SHTF series, a post-apocalyptic thriller series following ordinary people struggling to survive an apocalyptic event - that plunged the United States into chaos - immediately followed by another attack that might finally be the death of them all.

Very Disappointed

What a way to ruin a decent series. It was all down hill and what seemed like a half a book. Not that I wanted it to go on.

Great series

Love all 4 books. Hope book 5 will be on the way soon! Waited a long time for book 4 and was not disappointed!

Terrible attempt at the conclusion of this series

This was a "short story" not a novel. I picked this up to see the LONG awaited completion to a pretty solid character base, but was let down and disappointed in not only the time it took for this short story to come out but the overall length and the direction this book series went.

Besides for Kevin Peirce's narration, there is very little to like about this. I can't recommend this book.

Loved this series!

I think I listened to all 4 books in the series in about 3 days and the really horrible part is there's no number 5 yet! This was definitely a great listen, the author did an amazing job in her writing. I got taken in by every character and it has great reference to things you can do in a real apocalypse. Kevin Pierce as narrator couldn't have done a better job! Hurry Hurry and get #5 out!!

Wow, love post apocalyptic books

Great listen, cannot wait until book 5! Graysons group suffers many loses in this one. I shed a man tear or two. A must read or listen to with Kevin Pierce narrating, suspenseful, exciting, and heartfelt. Love this series! 5 stars.

Disappointing

This was a disappointing end to the series. I really enjoyed the other books in the series but this one left me fast forwarding through the graphic descriptions of how the beloved dogs were treated. It was just too much for me. My dog is my family and I just wish they could have left a lot of that part out.

The story really never picks up until the end. I think it was a poor representation of the other books in the series.
Kevin Pierce was on point as always. I look for my books based on him being the reader.

I absolutely hated Dixie being attacked, and the loss of Grayson's brother and son.

Great book from a great author!!

This book was truly an awesome post apocalyptic story. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. This story was not predictable as so many are. I have all of the authors books and will purchase as many more as she will write.

Worst of the series.

All the characters became morons in this book. There situational responses don't match up with past actions.

All Stars as always for both Author and audio perf

If I had One complaint about this book it would be that it ended far before I was willing to stop listening.
Bravo, good show by both the Author and by the Audio performer. I expected nothing less from the two of you.

Emotional Rollercoaster

A great read that had me on the edge of my seat, I was blown away by the shocking plot twists, and left wrung out from the emotional rollercoaster. I've loved this series and am sad to see the end of it, but hope for something to look forward to by this author, this is a must read and 5 stars across the board.

A MUST READ BOOK

If only there were more than 5 stars.
I won't sugarcoat it. This book is dark, horrifying in parts, tear-jerking in others, and scarily realistic from start to finish. I really wanted to throw my arms around Puck, shake Graysons hand and tell him that what he did was heroic and kind and loving and that he is a truly wonderful person. I wanted to climb into the book and tell them what was coming. I wanted to climb in and slap a couple of the characters in the face, with a chair!
I can't believe it's finished. I've learnt to love many of the characters in this series and I need to know if they're okay after the ending.

Seriously, I can't say enough about how much these books held my heart and mind as I listened and desperately hoped that (I'm going to be generalising to avoid spoilers)
They would get there in time
They would survive the gang
They would find a way to escape
They would not be drowned
He would save the day, again
I would find another box of tissues before I started listening again

The scene setting, character development, story arcs, and narration, were outstanding. I consider myself fortunate to have found this series and this author. I know that all day today, and pray tomorrow to, at the very least, I'm going to be worrying about the characters and how they are getting on.
