Emotional, Passionate, and Captivating!

This was my first Deborah Garland's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in the Forever Mine Series, an office romance. Gwen and Andrew's story is emotional, passionate, and captivating, filled with secrets, angst, and twists and turns. Auri Alden and Stephen Borne did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to All for Me, Gwen's brother story. #PFPAudio

Throughly enjoyed this first novel in this series. I’ll listen to the second one when it’s available too able side characters met in this one. 3.5 star listen, combo of female/male narrator is a good one and they work well together in a dual narration style.

Book 1 - Forever Mine

Oh My Stars - I adored this listen! What a perfect romance! Amazing characters that are flawed but so relatable. This book took me on a journey of love, loss, hope and more. Our main characters are Gwen and Andrew. I love how these two met and eventually came to be in each other's lives. Dual narration by Auri Alden and Stephen Borne was perfect. The smooth soft voice of Alden was perfect for Gwen - she came to life as a soft but strong woman and Borne with his rough voice brought out the protective nature of Andrews character. The storyline flowed perfectly, and I loved all the secondary characters that were brought as well. So many great moments throughout the book and a lead to the story to come in book 2 which I am super excited about...Loved this book and can't wait for more!

Some things are meant to be

A woman, Gwen, going through a divorce and a man, Andrew, widowed a year, meet at a fashion show and have a one night stand. Both not normally draw to someone and not to one night stands have a connection
A year later Gwen gets her big opportunity to work for Prada in PR and Andrew lands up being her boss
Both struggle with feels, concerns of workplace romance and their pasts which cause reasonable fears over come them
Both MC are good and likable characters that you want to reach a happy ending. I was drawn in and enjoyed their journey and happily not with over the top angst or cheating which can make. romance harder to enjoy
I enjoyed both narrators, he didn’t really sound as I imagined but was well done and the female was great in female voices and good male voices, just sometimes male was harder to understand
Definite thumbs up and I very interested in Gwen’s siblings stories

Cute story

The wonderful narration from Auri Alden and Stephen Borne brought this book to life. One night stands, second chance romance, accidental pregnancy, and office romance all make this story what it is.

4.5 Stars Overall

This is the third book I've read/listened to by Deborah Garland. It started a bit slow for me, but it picked up quickly! Definitely squeezed my heart. So much pain for both Andrew and Gwen. I actually had tears. There were times I laughed and smiled. It was great meeting their families as well. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Stephen Borne and Auri Alden are excellent narrators. Both are newer to me. I love their voices. They perform with emotion which brings the audiobook to life.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Original & Enjoyable!

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is an original and well-written story with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Gwendolyn Foley has been working in the fashion industry for several years, and is happy to have landed the Marketing Executive position at a more prestigious company, Prada. She would work closely with the brand manager Andrew Morgan, who was currently working in their Milan office. They would share an office until they find her one to work out of, checking out the office, she soon learns she knows who Andrew is, he is the one she spent the night with after a fashion show last year, her one and only one-night-stand indiscretion after her breakup with her husband. Andrew returns to New York and it surprises him they hired someone without his input, and is even more surprised to see who it was. He was not very welcoming at first, and they are both battling their own inner demons, but they continue to be drawn to each other, and the chemistry between them is strong and sizzling hot. A lot goes on in this book and there is never a dull moment, it is a wonderfully plotted story with plenty of drama, their own personal drama, relationship drama, family drama, and drama in the workplace, a touch of angst, some heartfelt emotions and a steamy romance. Deborah Garland, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Good story!💜

I enjoyed this story for the most part. The characters were entertaining and the overall plot was good, however, this story didn’t grab me for some reason. There were moments of despair that pulled at my heart strings and the chemistry was good. I don’t understand why it didn’t excite me more. That said, it really wasn’t a bad story IMO.
The narration was really good. I really liked Stephen Borne’s voice acting, although his female voice wasn’t my favorite, his performance was very good.
Auri Alden’s voice was fantastic, however, her volume level was all over the place. When she voiced something to herself or in a whisper/somber tone, I had to continuously adjust my volume. Her performance in one particular scene, did have me in tears though.
This is book 1 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.

This enemies to lovers is funny, emotional. this story is very entertaining
Both have hurt in their pasts..They tiptoe round the obvious, not communicating their actual feelings which causes doubts.
Stephen Borne and Auri Alden narration portrayal of each character is very good. I enjoyed lIstening to this story.

Really loved this book and the story just flowed for me from start to finish.
The characters really worked very well together. I felt the characters were well written and had depth and were very likable. The story flowed and never a dull moment. I could not stop listening. Excellent narration too!

This is a beautiful storyline. With so much heartache in the past can this new love interest mend a broken heart? With such great characters, I loved this book. A brilliant performance.

What a great listen!
I highly enjoyed this story.
The angst and steamy scenes were 🔥🔥🔥!
I loved the inside into the fashion industry. Listening to Andrew and Gwen fall in love had me swooning.
Overall an amazing book that I can't wait to listen to Book 2 and find out about Greg too.

Crazy Cajun Book Addicts

Andrew and Gwen met a year ago and had a passionate one night stand with no names. Now in a twist of fate Gwen has a new job working for Prada and working along side, no other than Andrew. They have a great chemistry but both have pasts that are shall we say, are unresolved. But are they both willing to open up their hearts and grab a hold of what right on front of them.

I really enjoyed the narration off this story by Auri Alden and Stephen Borne I feel they read these characters perfectly and I could really feel the emotions of the story coming through.

I really wanted to like it but it felt like it was missing something the story was lacking a bit there was a of lot of unnecessary drama to due the lack of communication between the main characters which drives me crazy. the male narrator had no emotions while reading the female narrator did a good job

Fantastic and emotionally driven!

Get ready for a wealth of emotions in this first book in the Forever Mine series. I went in blind and was not prepared for parts! Gwen and Andrew had a no name, one night stand a year ago, only to find themselves working together a year later. Now coming together, they are dealing with a whole new set of emotions. Insecurities aside, these two have a natural chemistry and easy banter that is both funny and charming. What I love about this book is the sequence of events, and how each of the characters deals with life changing decisions. They compliment each other and give each other the unconditional love needed. It's both an easy listen and a not so easy listen,making it a book that made me think and feel. The best kind of story. Now looking forward to the next in the series.

Auri Alden and Stephen Borne are our storytellers, and they are both fabulous. Alden is the emotionally driven Gwen, and I could feel her both open up and close into herself, just as I imagine. There were some volume issues with hers, so I did have to up the volume on her inner monologues. Borne is great as Andrew. He too gives an array of feelings, as he deals with his past and falls into his future. They make a fantastic team and an enjoyable listen.

Getting, it together

Gwen is looking to start over after a divorce and lands her dream job working for Prada. Andrew is a widower who is the works for Prada but has spent the last few years in Milan getting over the death of his wife. When Gwen and Andrew see each other, they realize they had a one night stand a year earlier. Shock these two fight their feelings for each other, which culminates with these two giving into their feelings. Gwen has a secret and worries that when Andrew finds out, will he still want her. Loved this book and I am looking forward to the stories of Gwen's brother and sister.
