Fascinating, well written Sci-fi

Follow Joe a normal if still elite space warrior. Follow man from conquering the solar system to exploring the galaxy. Great tech. Great story. still have spiders as well as hostile/semi-hostile "countries".
Follow as something starts to destroy Sol like stars. Humanity ultimately "discovers" the Oniki.
Great narrator.
