Speed, surprise, and aggression... Hit on Jackpot is go.

The scourge of the Savage Lands, an ancient dragon allied to a gathering storm of dark forces threatening the world of Ruin, becomes the next target of the most fearsome shock troops ever conceived, prepared, and trained for total war: US Army Rangers.

Deep beneath a once-fantastic ruined empire, a creature more terrible, diabolical, and malevolent than any myth ever told lies atop a vast horde of wondrous treasure and deadly magic, dreaming dreams of greed and terror. The Rangers of the Ruin will thread the dangerous trap-laden depths of a deadly desolation sinking into a foul swamp in order to get their hit on the ancient prize.

But be warned, the fight you pick with Rangers is going to be the last fight you pick.

It's Rangers vs. Dragon as the saga of Forgotten Ruin continues! Audiobook also includes after-action report with authors and Ranger quality-control advisors!

Incredible

I doubt anything I write is high enough praise for this and every book Anspach and Cole co-author. You, gentlemen, are consistently incredible. Thank You!

The whole thing is starting to make sense now...

The first two books were fun but I kept having WTF moments trying to see where this was going. The format of this book and the origin story at the end help me see what's happening. Thanks!

The interviews are pure gravy! Keep them coming!

Listen to all of it!

The best so far, I particularly enjoyed the scrolls and post book discussion with the rangers.

Just the beginning

This book seems like it should be the end to the Rangers journey however it feels like it’s just now beginning. Now that the tutorial to the ruin his over the Rangers can finally do what they were sent to do

Love it!

As always, another great book to listen to. Not sure if the authors utilize Easter eggs from the GE series purposely or not but I love it.

Who knew D & D and Rangers would be sure a great combo.

Not so easy steps to hit a dragon

I love this series and how Jason & Nick aren’t afraid to mix it up a little and come at a story from another angle. I appreciate how this book shows rangers on mission is the way they are meant to be used. Definitely worth read/listening to.

How to kill a Green Dragon, the Ranger way!!

Great storyline! I really enjoy how the book is written. Going back and forth from the current action, to how a step of the action was planned and developed, worked really well for those who are interested in such things! If you have listened or read the first two books in this series, you undoubtedly noticed some rambling of the main character’s narrative. This book does this a bit, but I think it fits the character’s personality well and makes it more fun to read. I also enjoyed the AAR at the end, well worth the listen to get the perspective of other Rangers that have been there and done that. Keep it up and I can’t wait to hear the next!

Enjoyable

I like this book but the jumping around does get annoying. I like the characters alot. I'm not a huge fan of the writing style, just a personal preference not saying it's not good.

what an incredible read!

yeah so basically this book is pretty awesome!
call me a dork but after listening about the main character getting smoked daily because of a gut decision and going against direct orders, got me inspired to get me moving at the gym.
yeah it's a little wordy at times but honestly I geek out on how detailed each step in the operation breakdown went.
last thing, the after action report at the end of this book talking to real army rangers got me pretty excited. At times I had to stop and re-listen to some of their stories.
Great work guys and where's the podcast?

Stranded in a strange hostile land

Ok. I’ve been through 3 Forgotten Ruin stories. And I like them. Well written well read. The plot carries the listener with a steady pace. Lots of strategy, combat, and just enough humor…actually chuckled out loud a few times.
