But she soon learns the victim’s father is one of the most powerful men in Unicoi County. And he is intent on seeing his son’s killer suffer.

As Jack and Charlie dig into the two cases, they begin to uncover strange connections between them. With pressure mounting, Jack becomes the target of a deeply unhinged enemy who will try to take everything from him, including his sanity, to stop him from discovering the truth.

And even the mighty Joe Dillard is powerless to help.

Another great one. Really good plot and storyline. Highly recommend Main character continue! Shouldn’t miss out on this one

Manipulation to hide in plain sight

When a court reverses a conviction, it doesn't change the court of public opinion. Jack is recruited to help another convicted person get a reversal on his sentence. What seems as a straight forward case turns into a very much larger conspiracy.

Great book

The story held me. I couldn’t put book down. Love that Joe’s son is carrying the stories on.

A great continuation of the Dillard family

I really liked hearing from the people in the Joe Dillard series. Leon Bates is as tough and smart as ever

Best of the series, in my view

Nice to see Jack Dillard come into his own. Interesting story, and a very satisfying resolution.

Suspenseful! Even the bizarre parts come together in an intense finale! A "hard to put down" Audible thriller!

Sometimes I couldn’t keep track of who was who. I enjoy the narrators voice. Keep writing!

Definitely not as good as the Joe Dillard series. I had a really hard time getting into it and didn’t really care for the characters.

Jack Dillard is a winner

I knew I’d miss Joe Dillard (and I do). However, Jack Dillard is “fighting the criminal element” in his own way and keeps the readers on their toes.

Good story, mediocre reading

Reader is weak. Definitely not Tim Campbell. Switch as soon as possible so I can continue the series!
