Publisher's Summary

L. A. Cotton's angsty college mafia romance series, Verona Legacy, continues with Enzo Marchetti's story...

Nora Abato is the kind of girl people gravitate to.

Sassy. Selfless. Stubborn.

She knows what she wants and she’s determined to get it. And Nora wants her very own mafioso, the bad boy with a tortured soul who will do whatever it takes to protect his family.

Enzo Marchetti is the kind of guy people run from.

Rash. Reckless. Ruined.

As the Marchetti crime family's new enforcer, he’d rather spend his days getting his hands dirty than thinking about the future, or the girl with fire in her eyes and fight in her heart.

When a new enemy threatens the Marchetti empire, Enzo and Nora suddenly find themselves in close confines, and the undeniable connection between them is pushed to its limits. He can’t resist the girl who sees past the darkness in his soul and she can’t give up on the guy who has never been taught how to love.

There’s only one problem.

Enzo isn’t Nora’s fairytale prince, he’s the villain who will destroy her dream of a happily-ever-after.

He'll break her...

If she doesn't break him first.

Enzo owns me, love this series!

Enzo owns me! I was so excited to finally get Enzo's story, he intrigued me from the beginning, such a broken and mysterious guy, and all I can say is I love him! Nora was just the perfect woman for him, but their story wasn't an easy one, it's full of angst, it threw me on a roller-coaster I didn't see coming, I didn't expect such a toxic relationship to work out. My emotions were all over the place, but I couldn't stop reading. The next one is Matteo and I can't wait for it. This is a terrific 5-star read, please make sure you read the whole series, you will love them all. Alan Carlson and Sarah Puckett were spot-on as always, with fantastic voices portraying their characters, the editing and production was well done.

Verona Legacy

Villain of Secrets: A Mafia Romance Standalone (Verona Legacy Book 3) is a angsty new adult novel intertwined with the dangers of a mafia world. Enzo and Nora lovestory is dark, and intense with explosive chemistry. The writing style is captivating and the characters are compelling. Secrets revealed in layers, unexpected twists intricately weaved and dark moments dredged within the pages of this intriguing read. I'm on pins and needles waiting to listen tp the next book in this unforgettable series. I love Mateo and I'm so excited for his story as we got a taste at the end of this one.

Alan Carlson, Sarah Puckett dual narration performance brought the characters and their story to reality. Sarah Puckett is a favourite of mine and never disappoints. Her inflection is sweet and spicy fun.

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow Enzo is now in my top spot with Jason. I seem to like the bad boys from L.A cotton which is not normally my style.

Nora is such a strong female character and I loved how she overcomes what happens in the story.

There chemistry, surprises, secrets and love.

I struggled to get through this book

I’m definitely an L.A Cotton fan usually and loved Nico & Ari’s books in this series but I didn’t like so many aspects of this story.

It’s more so my personal hang ups then it is the story writing itself I think. The world building in this series is good and they way all the characters & events run together is smooth. But I just didn’t connect as well with Enzo & Nora. I found Nora to be so selfish and weak. She let Enzo use her and even encouraged it when she knew he didn’t want to be with her. Even when she knew it would break her heart. Even after he let her find him with another women. Up until half way through this book Enzo was still hooking up with other women and Nora finally gave into her feelings for another man. Only to slap Enzo in his face the moment he decided to pop up into her life again. It was savage! I also found Enzo to be selfish and weak as well. How he left Nora again at the end was pathetic. After what she endured because of him and then he just left her alone to go through it all on her own. I don’t care how much it was made to look like he was doing what he thought was best, it was unforgivable. And once again Nora had to chase him down and yet again find him kissing another woman. He never chose her. Not once. If she hadn’t chased him he never would have chosen her. This story just wasn’t for me. It was polar opposite to Nico & Ari’s story. Where Nico & Ari’s story was soft and sweet, Enzo & Nora’s sorry was rough and messy.

The narrators performance was good. Alan Carlson really brought Enzo’s broody & rough personality to life. He was a perfect fit.
