They might take his body, but he refuses to give them any other part of himself, especially since there’s no way of knowing if one of them happens to be the person he’s after. Lake is next in line for the throne and will do anything to stop those secretly trying to prevent him from taking it. He treats Nix like a possession, something he has a right to take. And potentially break.

West is an up-and-coming boxer who rules the school with boyish charm and iron fists. He doesn’t try to hide who or what he is, not even from Nix, the first of the Demons to bend him to his will, laughing all the while. Yejun is considered the flirt of the group, the one who’s hooked up with practically everyone on campus. Initially, he’s not interested in playing pretend with Nix, but it isn’t long before he’s changed his tune.

I just want more!

Chani Lynn Feener is so clever. This story kept me up all night until I finished it in the wee hours. Lake, West, and Yejun are scary sexy. Omg they're so damn hot together with Nix. I'm obsessed with them! I love the mystery. I can't wait for the next book. I can't get enough of this story! That cliffhanger makes me a bit sad, but the story is twisty and intriguing so I'll forgive it.

Edit after listening to the audiobook:
I know I got emotional reading this, but I didn't cry so much. The audio really brings the hurt forward for what Branwen went through, and what Nix is going through over what happened with her. Hearing it with all the emotion, it becomes more real for me and really makes me feel it.
The narrators are flipping fantastic! I think they've managed to enrich this already awesome story.

BAAAAAAD fan fiction!!!!

This is not an enemies to lovers…..I read one of her other books, and than tried this one, because I thought I’d give her a chance, I mean maybe that first one was her first attempt…….nope EXACTLY the same….it reads as really REALLY bad porn fan fiction….ALL of her books start off with someone raping the protagonist…..and than the rest of the book is who ever got raped falling madly in love with the rapist……this is Not a blown out of proportion statement, it’s LITERALLY how every single one of her books proceeds, if I would have known and been able to read a description like what I just wrote, I wouldn’t have wasted credits, even with her trigger warnings, NOTHING prepared me for the rape fantasy that is her story’s….and even than if the story was written well I might be able to give it one more star…but good god…..it’s supposed to be sci fi, but the blasters shoot bullets, and the hover cars run on gas……..and it takes place in GALAXIES…with no explanation on how they’ve achieved breaking out of our current galaxy, let alone galaXIES…and entire planets ruled by one yes ONE sex club…..yep BAD fan fiction lol
