As usual Scott makes history fun. I felt for the guy trying to type up on the rock stone; been there, done that. While these stories are based on true stories it told like a Monty Python movie ‘it’s only a flesh wound’. I wonder if the Red Funeral inspired GOT’s Red Wedding, it was very similar. Productions is great, very easy to listen to. In the How to Train your Dragon series they always have meetings called The Thing, which always cracked me up. Now I know it was based with real Viking history.

Funny and well written story

I truly enjoyed the way the story was knit together including women (who are often forgotten) and influences from of other cultures. I chuckled often.

I was wondering how did you get the inspiration to use these history stories. There are so many intresting events how did you choose these?

Simple and straightforward title

Really fun abridged version of Viking history. I enjoyed the light hearted take on what can be a heavy topic, given Viking tendencies toward brutality.

Brilliantly retold

This tome was both engaging and entertaining. It is a terrific way to study historical facts while laughably following the story lines. Audio drama brings centuries old characters to life once again.

Entertaining

This was an entertaining history lesson on vikings help to dispel some of the mystic of this group and also helped me develop a deeper appreciation of their impact on the world
